This is true. We heard stuff like: "Well he hasn't beat ranked teams" or "Their records are the same!" Now the negavols have quieted down. Ray Charles could have seen the improvement even in Butch's first year, but they kept bashing. Now Tennessee has beaten some ranked teams and now Butch's record has surpassed Dooleys. I suppose their next argument will be: "Butch can't get us over the hump!" next year after a 10 - 2 season.

I used to think you were JUST a nega but have changed my tune. Unlike most of the others I think you do have the Vols best at heart. Most of the rest it's just about being "right", cool, contrarian, bored, etc.

Hope Butch continues to rise up your approval level...'cause if he does it means we win the Natty. :)

Wylo is OK. He has some really funny posts that some (I did too early on) confuse. But I have no doubt Wylo wants what's bbest for UT.

I voted no also.

Jones has flaws. They aren't the same as Dooley's. Also, he seems to be self-aware and working to correct his weaknesses.

IMHO, he lacked aggression vs OU and UF. He had done that before but this time it seemed to click. Again IMO, he coached assertively for the rest of the season.

He can learn quite a bit about what not to do... and a few to dos.

Learning from your own mistakes is good. Learning from the mistakes of others also is better.

If only Hart had hired you instead... your brilliance is without limit. Maybe Jones will wise up and hire you as a consultant. Then he could learn from the smartest football guy ever.

But I would say we also had one of the WORST passing games in recent history this year to though. Don't know if its scheme (personally not a fan of) or quarterback but it was a glaring weakness. Think about how much better the run game would be if passing threat was there. Not trying to turn Positive into Negative, Im just sayin...
