Really?? Just because Dooley was a complete moron and hired a guy who never called plays doesn't mean it is the same for everyone. Butch wouldn't do this without having an upgrade ready. I likedon't Jancek but his defenses fold when the pressure is on. He doesn't show multiple looks or mix things up and drops everyone into protection when he should put pressure on. He's a great man, but just a decent defensive coordinator.

Tennessee was not one of the best defenses this year, they were like 8th in the SEC right? And 4th down defense was like 130th in the country. Two 4th down stops and we beat Florida and Oklahoma. Bama loss is on the kicker. Arky loss is on the offense.

Wilcox left, Dooley didn't fire him. Wilcox jumped off that sinking ship. Look at the defensive roster coming back. Defense will not be an issue.

Would everyone quit trying to second guess the head coach and being so negative? Be a fan and let Butch take care of business instead of everyone sticking their nose where it doesn't belong. (1) You don't have all the facts (2) he gets paid to have the overall responsibility, not you (3) everything has improved since Butch took over and has progressed. When you pay his salary directly, not indirectly, then you can _itch, otherwise discontinue all this second guessing.

Couple of Insiders alluded to big changes in the coaching staff earlier, so I suspect this decision has not been sudden. Also suspect that CBJ has someone in the wings already. Bet he makes a good choice based on all else he's done. Way above my pay grade to know so let's sit back and see what happens.

I'm gonna vote no. The players will not allow anyone around the team that will hinder the Vols chances of winning the SECe. That is what it will take with the way this team is playing. Keep improving, get us a legit DC, don't go to a 3-4( I had to), and beat Bama twice, on the way back to Tampa.

Take it easy Volnation, we got this.

I will give my all for Tennessee today!

It is strange that some fans sure want Butch to fail. Not many, but they exist.

They are always looking for any bit of evidence that the wheels are coming off.

To look for evidence that everything is fine (besides all the obvious ones), sort the Rivals team rankings by Avg. Stars . Suddenly, we are 12th best this year, and still 5th and 7th the previous two years.
