Sorry OP. I spoke to Barnes and he isn't signing anyone. Walk ons only. He will give the remaining schollys to football program. Brick by brick

He was a solid rebounder (had some pretty big ones down the stretch in close games) and would contribute with the occasional 3. He was being asked to play out of position. He's a role player and does a fairly good job at it. I know he has "wtf" plays almost every game but he does contribute and deserve a scholarship. Ideally, you would have liked him to be recruited over. Just hasn't happened.

He is a good rebounder become he's big so when the ball comes right too him yeah he rebounds. He can't jump and I see balls hit off his hand multiple times a game. I know he's a vol and all but if we can't do better than reese then that's pathetic.

We can agree to disagree. He drives me nuts at times too but saying he doesn't deserve a scholarship is a bit harsh IMO.

I know it is its just how I see it. Just an opinion and I may be wrong. It just sucks to watch an Okafor or a towns or even a tuttle and then have to watch reese.

I like when people make the excuse our teams have no experience, or depth, but get excited when a guy transfers.

That shows the shape of our roster imo. I'm not trying to start an argument but let's be honest on a championship caliber team an sec champ that is reese may play 5 minutes or less a game.

On another note.....

No, coach Barnes isn't going to sign any players at all. Ever. He isn't going to work at all. He just took the job at UT to do absolutely nothing and get paid over 2 mil a year.

What do you want him to do? Hold daily pressers to keep you updated as to his daily work (recruiting) schedule?

He isn't even allowed, by rule, to discuss these things......

I think I will trust and have a little more faith in an already on his way to the Hall of Fame coach.......

Are you talking about Reese being tall? Who played center in the SEC at 6'8"? And there are a lot of deficiencies in Reese's game but jumping actually isn't one of them.

I loathe Reese. If I never see him on the court again I will be happy. He does however have some hops, and did make some big rebounds and tip outs down the stretch of games last season.

I just can't stand to watch him give up alley oops over and over on defense, and fumble the ball out of bounds on offense.
