Just wondering will things settle down a bit in here. I mean if we pull off the biggest upset in TN history will you be ok and get back on board the vol train?

No one on here is not on the vol train!

It's not about dooleys one loss to msu. It's his whole career.

For now. The only way to calm the board down for a while is to win out, which if we miraculously beat Bama would seem much more possible (although SC is very good).

Bama's OLine could steamroll our D with blindfolds on.

That said, we might be the best team Bama has seen so far.

Not for me, I am more of a "body of work" kind of guy. I would be ecstatic to beat Bama, but it would not change my opinion of Dooley.

He would finally have MORE SEC wins than Lane Kiffin does though! They have been knotted at 4 since last years Vandy game...think about that.

Even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then. I'm shocked Dooley has never pulled out one single upset over a ranked team in his time here. Even a bad coach should have one by now.

Would need Bama and last 4.

Realistically would need to be 9-4 and finally wins big game to get another year at this point.

8-5 and 3rd straight losing season in SEC and losses to any team in top 25 really doesnt bode well for him. He just hasnt shown he can win against equal or greater talent and UT isnt ever going to have better talent than UF, UG, LSU, Bama because of recruiting bases in their states.

let me get this straight. If and that is a big if, it comes down to coaching and Tn. wins, you would still think that Dooley needs to go?

At this point, for me, there is no single win that would change the opinion of Dooley that it has taken over 2 years to develop.

Now if something were to happen and the stars align and we win out inc Bama and USCjr I would say "Lets see one more year".

Again, its my opinion but is shared by a lot of people that matter in the big scheme, not just me who doesnt make a hill of beans. My contributions to UT are tiny compared to the ones that matter.

I've given up on beating Bama, SC, Mizzou, and Vandy. I'm even starting to Doubt Troy and Ky. This has been a painful season, more so than last.
