I, for one, do think Mack Brown has underachieved. Vol fans are correct in stating that, not only is recruiting a hell of a lot easier for TX, but we are and have been in a much weaker conference. Basically, we've been in the position of having to beat ONE team for the past 10 years to win the Big 12 CCG. We've done that, what, twice? Once with one of the Top 5 NCAA QBs of all-time and once with Colt McCoy and we barely won that one.

Sorry, but I'd much rather stake my conference championship game appearance on winning one game against a difficult opponent on a NEUTRAL field than having to go through Florida, Alabama, Georgia, LSU (at times), etc...

So, though I do get a raise in blood pressure when my school is picked at on here, I also try to look at things realistically.

I have no reason to believe this to be anything but true.

However, if "journalists" both learn of and can substantiate a story, but then withhold it while awaiting permission to report it, then we need to call them what they are: publicists.

LWS - can you put this to bed, once and for all?

Is Wilcox gone to Texas, or not? If you are not 100% positive, what percentage would you place on his leaving?

If he does leave, what names are you hearing as possible replacements, and of those, who do you feel is one most likely to ultimately land here?

which is both reasonable and appreciated. It's just that Vol fans can't help but notice the many similarities between what TX is going through now and what we went through with our setup in the 90's (which led to our beautiful 2005 season)

50% No one here knows. I have read the source bs here forever. Having a subscription to TOS or VQ is not a source.

for the last time, I'm a poster on VN. If you have a legit argument then post it but if not quit your useless VN bashing. I've seen plenty of info broken on here way before the rest got it.
