Lol I wasn't too upset when he left there were rumors he was going to a lot of schools so I wasn't surprised. I think he can be a good head coach and he is bringing in a good staff.

Who Doesn't!?!?!?!?!

Seriously tho, as much as I appreciate Poole's commitment to UT we desperately need to find a RB that can absolutely dominate....It was the key to our good years even when we had a good passing attack...That being said with the current talent we have I'm not so sure I would have ran the ball any more than Dooley/Chaney did last night. I coach baseball but I can't think of something more frustrating than seeing a RB get 1.5/2 yds a carry!!

VB

Hey man, what part of Freshman OL do you not understand? You gotta block somebody to run successfully. Poole is a good back, not great, but a good SEC back. Next year-----------------

What exactly happened to his defense at Texas this year?

Long time donor and season ticket holder and have many, many friends within Athletic Department and many more outside AD that get information also. Been doing this message board stuff since the 90s so have built a large network of sources.

cliff notes version..

Ha yea right.

It was mostly the offense turning the ball over and not moving the ball, keeping the D on the field a lot. A few injuries, and played just as many freshman as Tennessee.

Just seemed odd with all that talent that you go to the NC game to a losing record in one year with not necessarily the same players but the same talent level and the same DC.

I do enjoy watching Texas just due to the fact they beat my most hated non-SEC team Oklahoma. I hope ya'll can bounce back so that happens on a regular basis again. But I keep getting a feeling Muschamp won't good head coach. Kinda reminds me of Orgeron.

We lost Earl Thomas 1st round
Sergio Kindle early 2nd round
Lamarr Houston early 2nd round
Roddrick Muckelroy 4th round
and Aaron Williams who is a 1st to 2nd rounder this year was hurt most of the season.

That's exactly what I was doing, and the only conclusion I can draw from such wording is that Wilcox may still be gone by signing day. English is understood on VN.

Yep could happen, but at least he isn't going to Texas. Seriously though, if he did get an offer (which he might or might not have) and chose not to make the lateral move, I don't see him going anywhere else for the same position. If he where to get a HC offer we might be in trouble. I feel pretty safe at this point, but JMO.

I could see him being an Orgeron.

Wow. I understand now. Shows how much I pay attention to Texas football.

"Justin Wilcox tells Volquest that he has decided to remain a Vol turning down a chance to go to Texas" - Brent Hubbs

More like Texas decided to pursue someone else after last nights...... whatever that defense last night could be called.

I would need to know who we would have replaced him with before I can know if I'm happy he's staying.

Glad he is staying. He is a good coach and this team needs the stability. I think the Dstaff did a good job considering how thin they were.

How many of us honestly believe he 1) Had an offer from Texas? and/or 2) Chose to stay at UT over that offer?

IMO, Wilcox was not the first option and they have someone else in line already.

Like 90% of volnation thought he was gone (just look at all the threads with "wilcox" in the title).

To that 90% who said he was gone, I hate to say I told you so BUT...I TOLD YOU SO!!!!

Now the majority of those who were wrong and those who said they wanted him to go will all act like they love him and never thought he was going to UTjr...quite entertaining and comical LoL

GO VOLS, RAISE HELL
