The big offensive lineman said all of Tennessee’s defensive linemen seem as strong or stronger than they were last season, and that some of them — especially McKenzie — also have gotten quicker, more athletic and more technically sound.

In other words, Wiesman said McKenzie has become even more difficult to block. And the former five-star prospect from California was never particularly easy to block last season, especially when he kept his pads down.

“Oh, my God. I mean, all of 'em strong,” Wiesman said. “Each of 'em is strong, but each guy has their own thing. Kahlil, you know, Kahlil obviously is one of our strongest guys. He’s one of our heavier guys, but now he’s moving quicker. It used to be when you were with Kahlil you had to bear down and really get ready for him, but now you can also have to be ready for him to move and shake and push and pull all of that stuff. It’s the same thing with Vickers and Danny O’Brien. I mean, Danny and Vickers, their leverage is just incredible. When you're playing with them, you really have to play low and drive your feet.”

Wonder if Kongbo and Mac get off to a slow start, especially if Turtle is out? I think and hope the coming out party is Florida!

Barnett, we know. We had glimpses of MacKenzie's potential. He will be a beast this year, I believe even All-SEC. Kongbo won't get many double teams when playing with those two, so he will win quite a few matchups.

IMO, getting a healthy Shy Tuttle back is the last piece of the puzzle. That line will be unstoppable.

Getting Tuttle back would make our d-line better than most in the NFL. It'll be unfair.

I have confidence in the guys we have right now holding it down till be gets 100% healthy.

Everybody listen to this guy. He watches a lot of Hudl highlights, so you can trust him when he says that our DL is better than most NFL ones

How many NFL defensive lines have 4 first rounders?

You'll be surprised by how few.

I think Barnett, Kongbo, Tuttle, and McKenzie will all be first round picks by the time they leave Knoxville. And all 4 should be very good NFL players.

Better than most d-lines in the NFL? Lol!! That is undoubtedly the stupidest thing you've ever posted on here. Congrats cause that's quite an accomplishment.
