there arent many elk in Arkansas. They just reintroduced them a few years ago and are trying to grow the population in North Arkansas. I have put in for a permit the last 3 years but havent been drawn yet. I am sitting on ready if they draw me this year though.
It sounds funny to have people griping about small elk population so they bring some in and then promptly issue hunting licenses to go shoot 'em. Wonder why y'all have small numbers of elk running around?

I see no point in killing an animal unless you're going to eat it or you're protecting yourself. Sport would be if the animals fired back. Now that would be interesting.

There is a thirty pound possum in my backyard always coming in at night looking for dog food. Should I use a 12 gauge, 9, or . .380 .? I don't care for my neighbors this is serious bidness. Fawkem.

.380. There would be less flash to wake up the neighbors.

I killed an armadillo with a Louisville Slugger. One swing, right in the dome. True story.

About a week ago taking the trash to the street he was playing dead in the front yard. He smelled like shat so I thought he was dead. Opened the garage to get a shovel he high tailed out of there. This bastage is huge.

If they are close to the porch, I use a shovel or an axe. If they are farther out in the yard, I use a 22. I have chased one around the yard like a banshee.

I don't have a 22. If I bought one at Wally World tmrw or Dick's could I get ammo??

doubtful. 22lr is hard to come by right now. If you do happen to decide to buy one, buy a Ruger 10/22. Those things are indestructible. The ammo shortage should blow over soon.
