.... does Kentucky look to be so solid after such a short time with Stoops?

Why is Ole Miss so strong with Freeze?

Yet, we are supposed to be patient. I guess we were in worse shape than them when Butch took the helm?

Please help with my confusion.

We have a young, inexperienced O-line. And with that, we have to play dink & dunk football and can't run the ball very well. Therefore, we suck.

??? Figured that would be the most used excuse.

We can't seem to keep a stable coaching staff for more than 3 years. Also it seems like we cannot properly coach up our offensive players.

If you don't see a huge difference from the past two seasons then you don't know football.

This offensive scheme takes 4 years and the best players in the nation then it's unstoppable. Just in case you missed that conference.

Easy answer with Freeze...he's a better coach. Everyone makes better hires the we do. Auburn gets Malzan, MSU gets Mullen-- I was darn near banned burned at the stake for suggesting he was a better hire than Kiffin. We fall in love with every substandard coach we hire. Kiffin was going to make us USC east, Dooley recruited "diamonds in the rough". At least Butch isn't a jackass of a person like the last two were. He just not as good a coach as we'd hoped he be

We need at least 12 top 5 recruiting classes in a row to have quality depth that learned behind quality depth that learned behind quality depth.

Because we are in year 5 of a 10 year rebuilding plan, and even then we will still be too young and inexperienced.

Good call.

UK looked solid on that first series where USC had a 19 play 8 minute drive. That's solid.

One reason is that those teams you named have a lot of upper classman where UT doesn't. Think about it. Half of the players on UT's starting units were playing High School this time last year. I don't like to lose either but give it another year to do great things. We will go bowling this year.

We can say what we want.make exscuses for every game ...if Butch don't start pulling out all the stops to win these players will stop laying it on the line. You can't win every game with 2 minutes left you must Go for broke on these teams.I hope Butch is hurting real bad .he is the driver of this bus.He is responsible for when it starts and stops.

Freeze took over a 2-10 team. Even after his one great recruiting class in 2013, his roster still probably has lesser star ratings across the board than we have. But they have been competitive since he got there.

Meanwhile, Butch supporters just keep saying "wait until we get more recruits". Just like they did with Dooley. And Kiffin. And Fulmer. It's so unbelievably tired at this point.

Agreed.

I love Butch, but there's nothing in his coaching resume to suggest he's any better than Hart's other fine choices of Larry Fedora or Al Golden, both of whom had similar resumes and aren't really doing squat at their "big name" programs.

The only difference I've seen is not quitting when playing from behind although quitting and playing poorly tend to have the same result so I'm not sure there's much difference although when we'd just get down and roll over I could sort of delude myself into thinking we were really better but just not properly motivated but know I know we just suck. Hard to say which is worse.

We're not competitive at the 1.3 year mark? What are you watching?

I understand your point OP, and I don't have the answer. Right now, UK is making a game of it with USCe like they did with UF. I can't figure out how we can scheme and play OU and UGA like we did, then come out so flat against a sub-par UF team.

Sure OU and UGA were losses, but the stats showed a much more efficient effort in those two games. Today's game stats are just sickening - and I'm not trying to rip on the team. The numbers don't lie, and today's numbers for Offense were just down right horrible.
