After last night Defense Performance for Clemson I DO NOT WANT HIM REPRESENTING US WEEK IN AND WEEK OUT IN THE SEC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!HE CANNOT MAKE IT IN THE SEC!

I see a lot of thread about DC Steele over Shannon because of tennessee tieds I think that is stupid. How about getting a coach who can turn this program around and have it playing defense like LSU or Bama. Every player that played here is not a good fit for the program, if it was Randy Sander would still be here and by the way I don't think Steele pass his interview west virginia is taken it to Clemson 70-33 in orange bowl.

First off, I'm no Steele fan, I'd prefer Shannon. That being said, the level of foolishness knows no bounds. In any given game a set of breaks, bad officiating, or just plain dumb luck can result in a team being ripped apart.

Boise State shouldn't have been on the same field with Oklahoma a while back but ended up winning the bowl game. Playing with a WR/RB (Tim Tebow), Denver has won games it had no business winning. And you could cite more. But for some people, just one stumble and suddenly a competent person is incompetent. Someone sneezes with ansu instead of achoo and they're the devil incarnate. Such foolishness!

Isn't Mora Jr. the new HC at UCLA? And Jim Haslett? Is this the Lovie Smith guy?

I feel most of those NFLers who have been NFLers for some time have no interest in coaching college kids. They want the no non-sense professional player. The power of, "Do what I say or you'll lose your job." AND NO RECRUITING.

Don't misunderstand me, it would be great to have Jim Haslett, but it seems like a stretch.

And why does everyone think Steele is a better recruiter than Shannon? Especially after that Orange Bowl. It seems to me, having a DC with South Florida ties makes some sense. His players seemed to love him. His numbers as a DC are outstanding. And I think Miami recruited some decent talent back in those days.

Just a thought: it seems to me that having good players to coach would make a DC's job much easier. I don't know anything about Clemson's defense, but perhaps it's a case of players making the coach look bad??

The Clemson fans here in SC are ready to dump Steele and his entire staff after the drubbing thay took last night from WV. Set a new bowl record for most points against one team.

@coachingsearch Sources tell me that Dooley has talked with Kevin Steele today and there is a good chance Steele will be going to Tennessee.
