Why would a big name OC sign on here???

I'm not saying we can't get a big name OC and hopefully we will, but I have been wondering for awhile why a big name would sign on here.. CLK has said he will call the plays and control the offense multiple times.. I may be wrong, but why would you sign on if you didn't get to control it.. I can understand the HC having the final say, but he seem to indicate that he would basically be the OC also.. Do we really need one if he is going to run the offense??? Maybe we will just sign on several position coaches..

Cheany is the OC/OL coach. Kiffin will call plays.

I think the rest of our staff except maybe one hire will be NFL guys.

we've already signed an offensive coordinator.

I didn't realize we had signed him.. I knew there was talk of it, but I never did see anything concrete on it (sorry about that).. I appreciate the info

Yea I have seen a few post.. I haven't really read them in depth due to a family memeber in hospital so I have been on hit and miss.. Have they had a press confrence to confrim yet? I may have missed that too..

Why does his question anger you so ? you seem to be very sarcastic that someone may have something else to do with their life than read this board, heaven forbid someone come on here and look/ask for information !!! ok now go ahead and tell me about my horrible grammer and i didnt capitalize anything !!!

He isn't on UT sports yet... I'm assuming they haven't had a press confrence yet.. Do we know for sure that he has been hired or are we just fairly confident..

He's out recruiting. Per Hubbs and Volquest staff, they are waiting to hire the entire offensive staff before they hold another PC. Probably will introduce them all at once.

That makes sense.. I noticed that Drayton was listed as an assistant coach now.. I guess he may be staying any word on that yet??

That might not be to bad.. Foster and the gang weren't worth a flip last year, but they say he is a heck of a recruiter.. I think he has another 5 star RB scheduled for a visit this month... Let me see if I can find his name..

Didn't Giles decommit ans say he would commit to Tennessee again if Drayton would be re-hired ? If Drayton is a sure lock, why has Giles commited to South Carolina ? Or is Giles just a liar ? Im not 100% sure I would want Drayton back . Foster was bad last year, Creer was ok, and Hardesty was ok. We havent had a great running back in forever. I think he should go with Phil but that s just my honest opinion.
