Ainge is the reason why we will win Sat. He has been very impressive so far and I think he will play his best game this Sat.

This game will be one by the team that wants it more and I think that team will be us. Florida will put alot of points on the board but I really like our chances in a shootout. I am sorry but their D doesnt scare me at all. Anyone hear that thinks that we cant score lots of points on them are crazy.

Their Offense scares me I wont lie. Tebow will make our D pay alot during the game, but I Ainge will pick their D apart. This is Tebow's first real test. Ainge has been here before.

Fulmer has to know that if he loses this game he might as well pack it up at the end of the season.

We are TENNESSEE and we WILL WIN this game.:rock::rock::rock:

thanks for giving me more confidence  but the underlying key to the game is to control the clock and keep their offense off the field. To do this, we must run effectively.

What we are hearing from UF related press andmedia, even NIck Hubert the voice of the Gators, said Florida's defense cannot stop Tennessee. They are all saying we will play time control football and run the ball 40 times if possible. I agree, Ainge has to play well and if he plays well mean our young WR's will find a way to get open. Ainge cannot do anything to give their defense a spark of confidence or we're doomed.

i hope the coaches dont hold anything back this game as far as playcalling on offense and blitz packages on defenese because this is our season right here... if we lose this game we drop out of the top 25 probably and we can kiss any BCS game goodbye, we leave ourselves no more room for error although we have little room as it already is... this game is crucial because we are 1-1 and we will see if CPF still goes with the conservative gameplan this time, and if he does we will lose i guarantee it because no matter how much inexperience UF has on D, it doesnt take much to defend HB dives, 5 yard crossing routes, and HB flares

would it surprise you to see anything different than conservative? we have a such a good chance at winning this game. i agree...we have no room for error. i am concerned about the special teams more than anything. good field position after a kick or punt is such motivation for the offense.

while i agree with you about Ainge and his ability thus far, the shootout part....didn't we learn our lesson about that strategy in week one? i for one hope it's not a shoot out. i think it will be high scoring, yes, but if we get in to a full blown shoot out, not good.

I'd rather have the game in Ainge's hands (shootout) than rely on UT's defense to make a stop on 3rd down right now

The best defense is an effective offense. When I say effective I want to grind it out with these guys. I don't like the idea of a shootout at all. I think chances of a win are best if the Vols follow Neyland's Maxims (is that right?). Win the kicking game, control the ball and the clock, win the turnover battle, and mainly be extremely physical for 60 minutes. I'd really like to see the Vols get mean and nasty. We've heard all spring and summer about how physical of a team we wanted to be. It's put up or shutup time Vols fans.

i don't disagree. however, that's why i think TN tries to shorten the game with a game plan that calls for run, run, run, run and run some more. if the gator d is weak, and we can exploit the middle and keep FL's offense off the feild, you will probably still see a high scoring game, but limited possesions for the gator offense. thus not getting in to a track meet. if we go out flinging the ball all over the place and don't covert 1st downs and keep drives going...we're in trouble, cause we probably won't stop them too many times, but we can probably stop ourselves just fine.

Exactly. I should have said the offense's hands not just Ainge. But I do think that it's funny that if UT wins by running and running some more (3 yards and a cloud of dust) it will be because of a so-called "conservative" offense, which is something people (not you but some) have said they don't want to see.

yes, yes it is. but i think what got most people about our running game over hte past few years was just the stubborness about it. We ran the ball, it seemed at times, just to do so or because "that's what we do".

i seriously doubt that anyone with an ounce of football knowledge would concede that running the ball isn't important.

why didn't Ainge win us the Cal game then? :ermm:

That Cal team had way more motivation to beat us going into the game due to the national embarrassment we gave them last year.

The Gators are likely underestimating us this year because of the Cal game.

if this game actually played out that way, and these were in fact true stats, then everyone has the right to go back and truly be pissed off about the D's performance in the Cal game.

and does AR not register a catch in this game or something?
