I honestly believe we win today for one reason: we are due something unexpectedly positive.

In my opinion, the single most disappointing aspect of our 15 year run of misery is consistent underachievement and only rare occasions of overachievement. Some might say beating Auburn was such an example, but let’s be honest, JG got lucky lobbing up a couple jump balls that changed the game.

So today, I believe we will see our Vols step up and make the plays to win. We will see a coaching staff present a game plan that maximizes our talents and minimizes our deficiencies. We will finally see the good guys overachieve and shock the East.

Let’s do this. WGWTFA.

Have to hit the deep ball consistently. They will load the box and play close and dare us to throw deep. If we fail, they shut us down.

Close game with a shocking turn of events call from Bob K. at the end and the Vols come home with the win. It goes against logic that we break the losing streak in the Swamp in a night game this season, but like you say, we are due for something unexpected and good to happen.

Without debating the whole of JG's career, life was better for him and everybody else when Auburn, Missouri, South Carolina tried to play man defense against Jennings and Callaway.

The Gators will be motivated to rebound after the soul crushing defeat to the juggernaut Crimson Tide.

The Volunteers need to execute great offense plays including the 4th quarter.
Also they’ll be defending less with a better chance to win if they can win by successfully running.

Nothing I'd rather see. But it is highly unlikely to happen. I just can't get my hopes up like that. Only to be disappointed. Again.

So you are being realistic instead of a rose colored glasses Volunteers fan for this challenging game.

You aren’t wrong because the FPI if I recall right has the Gators 89 percent chance to win.
Also the Volunteers are playing the Gators at the absolute worst time since this is in Florida and after they couldn’t defeat a terrific Crimson Tide team in a dramatic close game.

The Volunteers keeping the Gators from covering the 19 points spread is achievable.
