Why UT will blow out Bama

I think the new lucky shirt could be the ticket. I'm glad to see the orange are already talking about Bama. Looks like Bama is getting everbody's attention.

not to burst your bubble, but everyone is talking about BAMA because its our next game... Just like we talked about UGA last week and AU the week before, etc...

I have watched several of Bama's games this season, including the one last night. IMO, Ole Miss kind of exposed their offense. Our defense is certainly every bit as good as Ole Miss' and our offense is arguably better, much better if Crompton and the receivers play like they did yesterday. Anyways, that's debatable because of the fact Bama may look Crompton look worse than he did against UCLA. I personally think Crompton will do fine, though.

This is about Mcelroy and Bama's offense, though. Ole Miss was the best D they have been up against so far and Mcelroy looked like Crompton. He locked onto Julio Jones the entire game and constantly threw into double and triple coverage.

We have the best D Bama will face and Monte will have two weeks to gameplan for this. I really don't see Bama doing much against our D. The strength of our D has been its run defense, though that has dropped without Reveiz. This is a traditional offense, though, that Monte is used to. Georgia was unable to reach the redzone once. We will negate Bama's running game and then it will be up to Mcelroy. I think both teams turn the ball over at least twice in this one. Our biggest chance to win is play good special teams and get Crompton going from the playaction in the beginning. I'd like to see a playaction bomb to Moore to start this game. There is no way we will run very well on them until Crompton hits a few big passes. I have a very good feeling about the game. The only thing that will end up really screwing us is special teams as usual. Not sure who wins, but I know Bama's offense won't score more than 20 points unless they have ridiculously short fields to work with after turnovers or kick returns. I'm looking for Crompton to have a much better game than Mcelroy. That dude stares down receivers as much as anyone in the nation.

Whew, that's a load of BS. Your big mistake here is in thinking Crompton will suddenly become a good QB against Bama's defense. Bama will eat him alive and deep down, you know it. As for McElroy, he's light years better than Crompton and he's got a much, much better offense around him. He's thrown ONE interception in six games. You want to compare that to Crompton. Good, let's do it!

Bama is playing better than any team in the America right now. You really believe a team with a QB like Crompton can go into Tuscaloosa and win? I believe UT is getting better, but don't mistake Bama for UGA. If Bama can put up 34 on Va Tech, they easily do that against UT. Don't judge Bama's offense by yesterday's game. They were playing in Oxford, they had several miscues on offense, and yet they still dominated a good SEC team in their own backyard. Not to mention, Bama didn't need any offense yesterday. Ole Miss could have played all day and never scored a TD. And you suddenly think Crompton is better than Snead.. We'll see.

Your assumption begins with the fact that Crompton must throw, and that in itself, tells me how bad UT will lose this game. UT won't come close to establishing a run game, which means it'll be on Crompton's shoulders to throw the ball. There's no way you win this game, but since it's two weeks away, I guess you can spout this stuff until then. Finally, don't brag too much about UT's defense. You haven't played a great offense yet (Florida played conservative by design against UT), but you will a week from Saturday. For my money, I believe Ole Miss has a better D line than UT. But again, we'll find out, won't we? See you in Tuscaloosa...

First of all Bammer, if you look at their numbers Crompton is better than Snead this year in EVERY category. Look at their numbers before you decide to site opinion...

Second of all, I would say that Auburn has a pretty darn good offense. I mean, you have to give credit to Malzahn, he has done some special things since coming to the world of college football. His crazy plays might not work forever, but he has led the nation in yards for a few straight years now and I think Auburn is right up there with the best this year as far as offense goes.

With that said, Im not calling a win or lose in two weeks, but after watching everyone on offense finally click together yesterday I am far more optimistic than I was this time last week. Who knows what will happen, any given Saturday in the SEC... you know?

This is a rival game! Anything can happen, especially if Crompton can play like yesterday. If he can keep that play up we will have a chance to beat every team we play for the rest of the season. I actually say we hold there offense to 17 points. It will all depend if we can keep special teams from scoring.

To the Bammer, you say I suddenly think Crompton is better than Snead....I don't have to think, the stats speak for themselves....he is better this season and with less talent around him. Snead is HORRIBLE. His stats don't even compare. Talk about the most overrated SEC QB. This was the guy that was supposed to be as good as or better than Tebow. As for Ole Piss, sorry I'm not sold. They have a good defense and nothing else.

I'm not claiming Crompton is the second coming of Manning, but he has found his stride and is clicking with the receivers FINALLY. You talk about Mcelroy, he is not that much better than Crompton, though. Just has better receivers and players around him, inlcuding the o-line. Hell, Julio Jones can make any QB look decent.

Mcelroy hasn't seen anything like what he we see on defense in two weeks, though. Ole Piss was the best D you have played and Mcelroy constantly threw into double and even triple coverage trying to force the ball to Jones. Reminds me of Cox and Green. All we have to do to have a really good shot at beating you is stop Ingram. We match up against you better than any team you have faced thus far. Bama's achilles heal is an elite run defense and we have not only that but also an elite secondary. Should be a 13-10 type of score as long as there are no major special teams breakdowns.

1. EB will smash Bama QB & RB
2. Crompy's now clicking with WRs
3. Monte's Defense can load the box and shutout Bama O
4. CLK has a new lucky shirt

I said it was his shirt too! What else could it be? He finally wears orange and they trounce their opponent.

You have a better chance of this happening, than you do seeing the rest of Vollygirl (no chance). So, yes... there's chance, yet highly improbable.

Bama's offense is vanilla as can be. We have the defense that can stop their run. Ingram is not as good as Montario. Our secondary can keep their WR in check. Look at Green this weekend. Completely shut down. I don't care if we get any sacks in this game, but if we can lay hits on their QB like we did against Cox, then we'll be in good shape defensively.

We need to fix our special teams in a hurry. Javier Arenas is as good as any in the SEC. He will lay the wood on us if we don't get it together.

The game will rest on Crompton. If Crompton has a bad game then we are screwed. We will not be able to run on these guys for 3/4s of our offensive plays. We are going to have to open up the offense. Their defense is as good as any we will play. Crompton will have less time and their secondary will not leave our WR open like UGA did. Scary

Both defenses will dominate their side of the ball. The game should be low scoring and will come down to turnovers and special teams. I believe the coaches can get the special teams straightened out over the next two weeks. This will be a close one, if Bama is favored by more than a touchdown my money is on UT.

I like our D against their O. CMKs got 2 wks. to prepare, and we have 2wks to get healthy.

Our STs have a lot of work to do. Everywhere. Coverage, Returns, Everywhere!

Bama's D is NASTY good. CLK also has 2 wks to get something put together.

Difference makers for UT

1. Field Position - We can't start drives inside our 30 and expect much. Shoet of getting what we can and pinning them back.

2. Big ST plays - Areneas must be slowed, he flips field position, even when he doesn't score. We need some plays in the return game. The more return yards we get, the less we have to put on our O to get. Our O will need some shot fields.

3. Mistakes - Keep penalty yards low, And JC keep taking steps toward consistant play.

For UT to have any chance at all, JC will absolutely have to perform like he did against GA and the ST will have to get fixed. Then, just maybe, we can get a 1-3 point upset.

Arenas will kill us if ST doesn't straighten up.

Crompton is the key.

Bama's stout. They pummel their opponents and seize on their mistakes. Nothing real flashy, but they will run a couple of double reverses or a reverse pass in each game. I think Jones has been injured and McGyver (on purpose) isn't all that. The D must get some 3 and outs and our O has to convert. Same story every week, but Bama tends to get their points late utilizing their depth. I will note that we are an excellent 4th quarter team so this should be a good game. I'm stating the obvious here, ST's must improve. We simply cannot give Bama easy points and expect a W. I see UT with a 4th quarter come from behind victory.

UT did play a great game yesterday but I am not sure they can beat us. Ut is getting better but I think our depth will win out in the end. The game will be closer than alot of Bama fans want but I think our depth on D-Line and our running game will wear UT down in 2nd half. But this is a great game and will be fun to watch. I will post a lot on here in the coming weeks and I am fair. no bashing on my part and I hope I get the same respect back. Lets get ready for a battle in T-Town, but first we must take care of business with SC. ROLL TIDE

Depth is my biggest concern with you guys. When you substitute there is basically little drop off, with the exception of wr. Thats why I say we must get some 3 and outs and convert on O. Bama is solid.

I can't stand Bama, but right now, they are the best team in the SEC and in the nation.

Gonna take the best game we got.
