Why the hate on Palardy?

On that punt block #47 totally missed Rainey on the block. But Palrady was slow as Christmas getting the ball off and never did see him coming!!

He was slow, but Ray Guy wouldn't get one off if you just give Rainey a free shot at him.

My cousin and I went inside the stadium as soon as the gates opened at the swamp and saw Palardy and Darr out there kicking field goals. Palardy was missing 1/2 or more of his FG's (including some that were from the 20 and 25 yard lines) while the only ones Darr missed were from the 35 to 40 yard line or so and even then he hit probably half of them or better. We knew from that point that it wasn't going to be a good day for the kicking game with Palardy.

Can't blame the blocked punt on him though. That all falls on the line.

Looked to me like it falls on the RB who didn't pick up Rainey, but instead joined in blocking a guy who was already well blocked.

Are you talking about his touchback against UC? The one that landed at the 3 and rolled into the endzone?

Two touchbacks, a beautiful onside kick, all other kicks inside the ten, including one to the goal line. Looked pretty good to me.

I loved him last week after that onside kick that he recovered, but I do have to question his field goal making abilities, and am disappointed in him thus far. I feel a kid that's supposed to be that good coming out of H.S. should be able to make field goals much better than what he's doing, and I would never trust him to be able to make a field goal in a clutch situation, at least not right now.

I don't understand it.... He missed a FG in a game at the Swamp..... Last year Daniel Lincoln had a great season, only missed a couple of FG's and was still dogged.
We can't always have guys like Reviez, Colquitt, Walls, or Wilhoit on the team....

Why not? Unless Petrino changed it, Arkansas doesn't even use scholarships on kickers and get guys who can hit FG's.

Palardy is a good kicker, he just hasn't had much pressure on him yet, give him time. He will develop just like everyone else on the team.

He has not shown accuracy or the expected leg strength since he arrived. There's a reason UT has a commitment from a kicker in this class.

I felt more confident with Lincoln lining up to kick a FG than I do Palardy. It isn't personal... he just has not demonstrated any consistent accuracy. Even his extra points make me nervous.

He is just a terrible Kicker.... I am pretty sure kiffin just looked at his rating and went after him. I think he is terrible and we should get someone else in here ASAP.

Just about everybody offered him. I don't think I've ever seen a kicker so hyped.
