That's true, but 90% of his KO's in HS went through the back of the end zone, meaning his kicks in college would consistently be 5 yards deep. As I said earlier, I think it has less to do with his ability and more to do with the coaches. I think they want the ball between the end zone and the 10 yard line and HIGH to allow the coverage more time to get in position. It's pretty obvious IMO, if you pay attention to the games. So many people forget the fact that they kick from the 40 in high school.

A: He came in over hyped and hasn't lived up to it.
B: He can't kick it in the endzone.
C: Everyone one of his FG attempts hook to the left and are normally low.
D: His PAT's are low
E: I have absolutely no confidence in him to hit a clutch kick, do you?
I could go on...

x2 Palardy was rated the number #1 kicker and Darr the #1 punter. Seems they have both regressed since coming to the hill.
Palardy had a personal kicking coach when he was in HS.maybe UT need to invest in a kicking coach who actually knows how to kick a ball then.....seriously. I know a lot of these kids spend a lot of time going to camps in the summer because schools don't have coaching worth a crap. maybe that is the case at UT the past few years.

He was a 5 star kicker coming in. All I can say is if they start 'paying' these players - then they had better play better. He also missed a FG against Cinncy.
I don't understand it.... He missed a FG in a game at the Swamp..... Last year Daniel Lincoln had a great season, only missed a couple of FG's and was still dogged.
We can't always have guys like Reviez, Colquitt, Walls, or Wilhoit on the team....
Palardy is a good kicker, he just hasn't had much pressure on him yet, give him time. He will develop just like everyone else on the team.
that was him on the punt as well wasn't it? You have to know to get it out of there faster, even if it means a 30 yard punt, if you see them coming on an all out blitz. Because he sure took his damn time on a 3 stepper.
