Look I get firing Currie, I really do. The guy has made horrible decision after horrible decision. But why risk losing Leach over it this late into the game? If you don't like Leach fine, but personally I think he could do great things here and now because we want to get a clue 5 day too late? And ruin the one possible bright spot in the whole crap show?

This whole process has been mind numbing.

One would presume that someone(s) who have some power in this thing really, really, really do not want Leach

because bigger things are likely at play than who the football coach is going to be. Looks like an all out war for control of who "really calls the shots here". I am guessing the boosters gathered enough pull to get Currie fired and pulled the trigger to start purging while they had the cohesion.

How about because he is 26-28 in conference play in six years? How about the fact the SEC is a defensive league? You can't win in the SEC without defense. Ask all those west coast teams.

Leach and Currie met for 25 minutes - doubtful that they became bosom buddies. In fact Currie probably just checked boxes and never looked up from his Power Rangers tablet.

Relax. Leach is a pirate; he'll adjust.

Because Leach isn't a good enough coach to risk further poisoning the athletic department with Currie's inept leadership.

Leach probably doesn’t give af about any of this. If he wants to come he’ll come. He knows what’s going on and was still interested. I doubt this will deter him.

Because that was NEVER in the mix. YOU don't get it.
Currie went to Washington without even letting UT know where he was at. LEACH will NEVER be Coach at UT>
Get over it

Stop with this stupid nonsense. Every pac12 team has played better defense than UT has in the last decade. In case you guys still haven't figured it out, nobody that has won A GAME as a head coach wants this job.

you do realize his defense is ranked 15th nationally this year, right? even playing against all those offensive west coast teams you mentioned

Seriously, this is how much the administration cares about the fans. We're on the cusp of hiring a coach which 95% of fans can get behind, and they kill it because of a ****ing power struggle. People in the administration clearly don't care about us fans. Only their own ambitions of power. We need to purge these self-interested *******s who got us into our current situation like Haslam and Fulmer

They need to circle back to Jeff Brohm and see if that is salvageable. He was the best of the bunch, IMHO.

One thing is for certain if Fulmer has taken over the AD. There will be NO splash hire. Forget anybody anywhere that's a little different or scores a lot of points that has no Tennessee ties. We are about to see why Fulmer got fired in the first place. He'll probably give Hoke a 5 year deal.

This is one of those episodes where the family has been fighting like cats and dogs but try to pull it together for the holidays only to have a major fight break out and ruins it.
