Why not Jim Chaney?

What was Kirby Smart and Dabo's HC experience before they took over? some guys just have, not saying either way for Chaney, but thats not a good argument.

Chaney has been a coordinator for over 20 years, yet he's never been given serious consideration for a head coaching job. That is a good argument IMO.

It's amazing how fickle posters are. When Chaney was our OC, everybody hated him. Now some want him back. Crazy

Everyone didn't hate him. That 2012 offense was pretty fun to watch. The OL was good. Bray could sling it. You had Hunter, Patterson, Rivera, and Rogers running around catching the ball.

That was the best O UT has had since Cut left. Last year the Vols avg'd 443 ypg... the 2012 O produced 475 ypg. Both scored 36 ppg.

With all due respect to Dobbs running... I LOVED watching Bray throw it.

Or a couple of running backs that make it more appealing to go to the run game.

Gotta mix it up...regardless. Too many times with the Vols and last year with UGA he’d completely abandon any semblance of balance. It’s his default.

Bray could have thrown it even more effectively if the opposing defense didn’t know it was coming every play. Always killed us in the red zone and clutch situations...kinda like now.

Has he ever pursued a HC job? He might not want to be a HC. Look at Bud Foster and Chavis, some guys know what they're good at and don't want everything that comes with being a HC
