Why Not Go For Two?

And missing it loses nothing. Its the most common sense thing I can think of after taking a knee in the final seconds.

It does seem odd. The two-point conversion chart dictates "Go for 2" when leading by 5.

Though our very inconsistent power football plays up the middle might have dictated the decision.

You think it would have made a difference. We just would have lost by 2 instead, or in overtime if we make it.

We had a 7 minute drive of running it down their throats.

You have to show your team that you believe in them and run it down their throats one more time for two point conversion.

It was gutless to not go for it.

I am so over our coaching staff....I am not sure which is worse. Not going for two....OR not being man enough to admit that he SHOULD have gone for 2.

Why did we burn a time out after the clock was stopped on a first down after we had a false start penelty?

3 seconds left and he tries to sub a player instead of just calling a time out, cost us 5 yards which could of been the diffrence.

Fact is Jones is Saban on the recruit trail, but Dooley on the side line. He has no spine, no creativity and piss poor game management.

Of course we should have gone for it--said so at the time. Butch being Butch. You could tell watching him on TV after the TD that there was doubt in his mind but he went ahead with the kick anyway. BAD decision--and here's why? Florida was not going to kick FGs after that--they were going to go for it on 4th, and so there was no chance of florida scoring 13 points.

Sad part is Butch was being conservative and just happy settling for a FG. Hurd scored a TD and Butch wasn't expecting it. Hadn't even considered going for 2 because he hadn't planned on scoring a TD.
