I think this offense needs Creer in there more. He has the speed and big play abilty that we don't get from either Foster or Hardesty.

But then again it took four weeks to figure out Crompton isn't making plays. So maybe by Vandy or Ky we will get to see him get a few carries.

It is sad when your TB gets run down from behind like Foster did a couple times last night.

I disagree. If anyone should be playing more it's Hardesty. He does have the big-play ability needed for this offense. He hits the holes much faster than Foster and can break tackles. I love the way Hardesty runs.

That is why Foster has roughly 700x more runs of 20 yards or more.

It is hard to work in two running backs, much less three. I think Creer should play when we need an offensive spark.

Hardesty isn't going to break any 40-60 yard runs. He doesn't have the breakaway speed of Creer.

Don't get me wrong I like Hardesty but we need to start trying everything we have availble on offense cause what we are doing isn't working.

IMO Creer is the fastest back we have. Hardesty is the power guy. Foster is in the middle. But we need some big plays. So give the guy a chance and see what happens.

Creer is the fastest back, but being fast isn't gonna do you any good when someone hits you. Hardesty can break those tackles and keep going. The guy runs "downhill" and is the most physical back on the team.

Bottom line, it starts and stops up front in the trenches. Lose there and it wouldn't matter if we had Gale Sayers, Emitt Smith and Barry Sanders.

I agree but I would take Barry and like my chances.

All I am saying is try something different. It just might work. Look at the QB play. I think everyone would agree it is improved. If it doesn't what did you lose. Also why no reverses or anything orginal with this offense. Is it conservative play calling or just not part of the offense?

I agree -- but we tend to look past some shortcomings. He had 3 chances to gain 2 yards up the middle and failed. Foster and Hardesty and Creer are all different -- and good in their own way. But when you only have limited offensive plays -- how can play all the players?

If I was the OC we would run all backs until one is just unstoppable and then use the rest to spell him when hes tired, but like the coaches say I know nothing about football!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!HA I would do there job better and for a lot less just 100 grand a season thats all folks................and it scares them .................

Then that is why he breaks more 20 yarders per amount of carries. Hardesty runs hard and breaks a lot of tackles but lacks the vision to be the homerun threat.

he isn't a homerun threat.
You can find 5 or 6 kids off of any high school team that could beat him in a foot race.

i listened in the pregame and Drayton was raving about creer.
It is becoming apparent fulmer is stepping on toes of pos coaches.

I remember when T Taylor wanted to start larkins in the opener and fulmer went on tv and said he got carried away

Neither one is a homerun threat but Foster still breaks more long runs per attempt than Hardesty does.

How do you gauge "homerun" threat?

Foster has more quality carries than any other back on the team, yes. But he is more likely to garner no yardage at all than would a Creer or Hardesty if given the same opportunity.

Go watch any game from this year and show me how each back gets tackled. Very rarely do you see Hardesty get caught from behind, and Creer is NEVER caught from behind.

Arian Foster= crap football

Creer has 31 career carries, most of them coming against crap competition. This getting caught from behind thing is overrated. I can recall seeing Lamarcus Coker caught from behind. He is faster than anyone we've got running the ball these days. If Hardesty was so unlikely to "garner no yardage" I would have expected him to gain an inch on two carries versus a trash defensive line like the one he faced last night.

Homerun threat = big play ability.

big play = run play of 20 or more yards.

All the stuff about getting caught from behind is meaningless since Foster still averages a yard more per carry. If Hardesty was the starter people would get tired of his no blocking, no pass catching, 3 YPC self reel quick. Hardesty is nothing more than a short yardage back.

1. Creer looks better against "crap competition" than Foster does.

2. How overrated is getting caught from behind? Are you not tired of seeing Foster being caught from behind by defends on the opposite side of the field.... in the backfield??
