I think this offense needs Creer in there more. He has the speed and big play abilty that we don't get from either Foster or Hardesty.
But then again it took four weeks to figure out Crompton isn't making plays. So maybe by Vandy or Ky we will get to see him get a few carries.
I disagree. If anyone should be playing more it's Hardesty. He does have the big-play ability needed for this offense. He hits the holes much faster than Foster and can break tackles. I love the way Hardesty runs.
Hardesty isn't going to break any 40-60 yard runs. He doesn't have the breakaway speed of Creer.
Don't get me wrong I like Hardesty but we need to start trying everything we have availble on offense cause what we are doing isn't working.
IMO Creer is the fastest back we have. Hardesty is the power guy. Foster is in the middle. But we need some big plays. So give the guy a chance and see what happens.
Bottom line, it starts and stops up front in the trenches. Lose there and it wouldn't matter if we had Gale Sayers, Emitt Smith and Barry Sanders.
Creer is the fastest back, but being fast isn't gonna do you any good when someone hits you. Hardesty can break those tackles and keep going. The guy runs "downhill" and is the most physical back on the team.
Neither one is a homerun threat but Foster still breaks more long runs per attempt than Hardesty does.
How do you gauge "homerun" threat?
Foster has more quality carries than any other back on the team, yes. But he is more likely to garner no yardage at all than would a Creer or Hardesty if given the same opportunity.
Go watch any game from this year and show me how each back gets tackled. Very rarely do you see Hardesty get caught from behind, and Creer is NEVER caught from behind.
Arian Foster= crap football

Creer has 31 career carries, most of them coming against crap competition. This getting caught from behind thing is overrated.
