Why my favorite play of the year wasn't Jennings catch...

Many forget about the (almost) game saving play by Foreman forcing the touchback vs A&M. The game was for sure over until he did that. Pure competitiveness, speed, and IQ.

I started this thread about a month ago and I said it was the play by the deepsnapper in the 4th QTR of the UGA game that caught the punt around the 5 yard line. That led to the "edit" TD.

Outside SCAR and Vandy it really was an amazing season. We beat Virginia Tech, Georgia, Florida, and Nebraska all in the same season. Not too damn shabby at all.

I know, I know....if you had told me that UT would beat the teams you named above, I'd say "Heck of a season!!". But the last 2 regular season losses were inexplicable as well as sickening. It took much of the shine off the regular season wins. Could have easily been 11-1 (no 7 turnovers against Tam).

While I absolutely loved the play... I still have to say that the most impressive play I saw that rings in my mind was Derek Barnett covering the RB I think it was in the Texas A&M game... From a athletic standpoint it doesn't get a lot better than that for me.... What about yours guys?!?

Barnett Island!

11 years of sorrow evaporated away in that sweet sweet moment. The most satisfying win I've experienced in a decade or more.

Spending a LOT of time in Georgia these days and able to respond to the Hobnail Boot game with the Dobbnail Boot game is fun when dawg fans beshat themselves when hit with it. One fellow in my neighborhood bar when hit with it, coughed and sputtered so much they were about to call 911 and get the emergency paddles out for him. Lol saw him afterwards and told him a helluva way to go out with the Dobbnail Boot game as your last thought, His wife angrily pulled him away and yelled, "What are you trying to do kill him???" LOL

One of my favorite plays was Moseley running down the A&M running back and knocking the ball out at the goal line. I really thought we were a team of destiny then. Regardless of the outcome, that was an all heart play.

So many outstanding plays and special moments. What an exceptional effort so many games Team 120. Brings a tear to my eyes to see the Dobbs to Jennings hail Mary vs. Georgia (with or without the Celine Dion soundtrack).

I share the Celine Dion version on Facebook at least once a month. I live in Georgia and try to remind all my dawg friends 😬

Jalen Hurd's fumble recovery in endzone was arguably the biggest play of the year.

Losing to Appy St carries more weight then not beating Florida or Georgia.

But they did go on to lose to USCjr and Vandie 😢

Easy for me. Jennings turning Tabor into toast.

Ya me too. Beating a terrible uga team wasn't monumental. We never should've been behind them to begin with. But the uf win was monumental. It's not like they were that great this season either. But just such a relief to get that monkey off the back. The 2 plays that stand out to me from that game were the Jennings long td and the Malone td.

My favorite play and what got me out of my seat was when Texas A&M was about to run in that game securing touchdown and Malik Foreman punched the ball out for a touchback. Gave me so much hope! Then to be crushed by 2OT.

I liked Vereen striping and Barnett recovering fumble in the end zone for a TD in the Florida game. That pretty much shut down their offense.

Jennings Hail Mary is the top one for me. Jennings catch down the sideline vs Fla is 2nd. Top game was Bristol. WHAT A WEEKEND!!!..2nd was Fla., 3rd A&M. Also went to Cowboys-Cincy game the next day. A&M has the classiest fans ever!!

The most amazing play I have and probably will ever witness as a Vol. That was a once in a lifetime moment.

My parents were coming down that Sunday to visit and I insisted they come 2 days early so I could watch the game with my dad because I hardly ever get to watch games with him anymore and he is the reason I'm a Vol fan.

Now that game is the second best football memory I have with him, second only to being in Tempe on Jan 4 1999.

When Jennings brought that ball down I literally lost my mind. I was hootin and hollering all through my house. I rattled pictures off the wall and scared the hell out of my wife's cat. It was a magical moment.

We scared my 17 year old dog with all our hollering. I thought we were going to give him a heart attack. Had to give him a piece of pizza to calm him down.
