Tyler Bird playing DB? We are weak there and he was supposed to be a stud at that position? Are we really putting him on offense instead so he can get one pass thrown to him and run one reverse a game?

At the time we started working him into the slot

Sutton & Foreman were healthy and J. Martin hadn't given us his yearly head case act. Plans were already in place to start working two freshman - Buchanan into the mix at CB or our Nickel 5thDB and N. Warrior at safety.

Coaches liked Malone and Jennings at the edge but knew we had accuracy and delivery issues getting them the ball more than 10yrds down the field.

I'll take Byrd's chances of making a play on that stupid WR bubble screen we've run to over predictable failure over J. Smith's chances. Basically Byrd in the slot has been another try to give Dobb's options in the short passing game.

This was said a long time ago. But then again, since when had our staff played any player in the correct way

Some think McKenzie is playing on the wrong side of the ball as well.

I'm not in that camp. We pull our guards allot.

If his speed and agility is sub par for a DT he'd have an even tougher time on the other side.
