Why isn't our matchup with Georgia a night game?

Last night game was 2019 in Neyland before that was 2011 and i agree with you i was really hoping it was gonna be a night game.
I knew it hasn't happened often. It seems like we almost always play them at night down there though. It's almost like the networks want certain teams to win certain games 🤔

The night game fights Texas A&M @ Notre Dame on NBC (both at 7:30p). The 3:30 game will only fight USF @ Miami starting an hour after and on the CW. Viewership will be much more for this one.

I think I get where you’re coming from. Since you defeated the cult leader Thulsa Doom at night, you want the Vols to have the same kind of cinematic victory in the darkness. I applaud your passion for the game.

The perception of us after last season ended was not very prime time. But the Florida-LSU matchup ain't giving nobody goosebumps either. I'd say we got basically bullsharted really. We deserved a night game tomorrow after going down there at night last year..

LSU got the nod this year. The networks wanted them to have it for what was anticipated to be a big showdown with Florida. LSU has a 10% greater chance of winning at night, the powers that be thought that Florida would be better than they were. I’d take LSU to more than cover in this one, I’d be shocked if Florida doesn’t get steamrolled down there.

Gameday had fully planned to make the trip to Baton Rouge until Florida lost last week.

Can you begin to imagine how many teams across America would give anything to be featured in ABC’s traditional nationally televised mid-afternoon time slot? That’s elite, big time college football. That’s us.

This is also true. Night games are seen as premier by the fans but traditionally the mid day slot has always been reserved for big games.

They chose FL LSU as the night game before, or shortly after, the season began. They didn’t know we would look this good or FL would look like a raging dumpster fire 2 weeks into the season.

If florida hadn't lost last week we would've gotten the 7:30 slot and lsu/ florida would've gotten the prime time spot. So Florida screws us again! Smh!
Gbo!
Game times are announced 12 days out starting with week 4. Kick times for today were set before the season. The 7:30pm prime time game is the #1 slot on ABC, who has the SEC TV contract. When times were set, Florida-LSU was a better matchup and UT-GA wasn't as attractive on paper. They would've also gotten Gameday in Baton Rouge had Florida not lost. They can't swap the game times per TV contracts, so that's why we're at 3:30.

When CBS had the SEC contract, they got the first pick and their time slot was 3:30. There was a clause in that contract that they could have two 8:00pm prime time games each year.

Some of you are making up narratives just to say we got screwed.

Because LSU/Florida was picked to be the big game of the week and got the night game. It was either the abc midday or night game for us and UF/LSU got the night game

LSU/UF QB battle was anticipated to be a hell of a lot better than whatever UT/UGA trot out, when the times were set preseason
I thought they could flex. Why have an unranked team in prime time
