Why Is Will West So down On The Vols?

I listen to his drivel until I can't take it any more. I understand him being on CBJ's case but his hatred for CJP is in my HO unwarrated. He negates anything CJP does that is positive. He has UT losing by 17 points to WVU and he hasn't bulged at the least. This man brings nothing to the table as far as sports talk except his opinion, which in MHO is worthless. When UT smacks down WVU I hope our fan base gives him more grief than he can handle. To allow this idiot to continue to have air time is a travisty and should be a priority of this fan base to get this clown fired. I'm sure there are some online here that agree with his tear down of the program but I care not to listem to him or to tham as well. I don't have to have sunshine pumped at every turn but for a man to have his own agenda about the welfare of the program I'm taking his exceptions as agenda wise too. This man is a pimple that needs to be popped and I think he would be more suited to sell used cars than a sports talk show host. Oh and take his little cronie Joel Silverberg with him. Really, a tennis player who knows football when he's never sniffed a football field? Joel is a smart young man but his football knowledge leaves a ton to be desired. Off of the Step Stool for my rant. In closing say no to West and Silverberg.

I haven't lived in Knoxville for a few years so I don't typically listen to Tennessee Sports Talk radio any more. WNML sucked anyway. But Will West used to be a decent voice. If what you say is true I guess he is just in "show me" mode now after a decade of poor performances.

I agree but the man is so full of how should I say this and be nice, CRAP. that's the only area where I can see him succeeding. But you sir are 100% correct! A pimple that needs to be popped!

Ive always liked listening to him and Josh. But the more i listen the more i realize that josh is the better of the two. the only thing will brings to the table is that he is funny. him and josh together make me laugh a lot and thats the main reason i listen to them. he is very down on the vols and it is getting to the point to where its very annoying.

Waaaay too many sports-mouthpieces and journalists giving their opinions these days with zero valid support for that opinion. I listen to talk radio to catch the coaches, players, and people who are “the horses mouth”. Not for the trivial opines.

Who did he want for HC? Did he want Schiano? Did he favor the other AD?

You may not want to hear this but there are people in the world and on this board who deduct 20 IQ points just because of an accent like the one Pruitt has. There are people who aren't really interested in a football coach as opposed to a guy with charm, charisma, and polish. There are people who really, really dislike Fulmer and his down home hound dog persona.

There's also a good chance that Pruitt's direct approach has rubbed some of the K'ville media the wrong way. His wit has bitten several of them already. He's controlled information leaks which means that when he said reporters would have limited access to assistants and players... he meant it. When a new staff comes to town or new coaches, the first thing local reporters try to do is get close to them and develop a comfortable relationship. The whole point is so they can get "the scoop".

West may be like CNN WH reporters... thinking a privilege to access is actually a right to access.

The last time I listened to that show he was going on and on about the wonderful drama on The Bachelor which is in my opinion the biggest waste of air time that TV has ever had. Somehow in years past he was able to convince hallerin Hill that he was a person that someone would want to listen to on the radio and he has made a career out of it. For me, all that has done is reduce my opinion of hallerin Hill

No he's a member of the WNML Staff that has the 12-3pm slot.Josh Ward isn't bad but West has to go. As I said he's a pimple that needs to be popped and I could care less if he ever graces the airways again. TERRIBLE talk show host. MO Only. I am sure some members here enjoy his tearing down of OUR PROGRAM, I'm not one!

There's really no reason for any objective observer to expect anything from Tennessee this season. Fortunately, I don't have to be objective.
