This kid can't make an open field tackle or wrap up to save his life. Also gets turned around in coverage quite a bit. Do we really not have anyone better?

He is one of our better hitters. He has been out of position in coverage before but that is to be expected of a freshman.

He has improved a lot! After the UCLA I might would has agreed with you, but he keeps getting better as every game goes on. The kid should definitely be starting.

Do you even remember E.B's freshman year? Got caught out of position multiple times against Florida and also gave up a huge TD against LSU in the SECCG. Guess we should have benched him too.

Ok..but he tries to recreate that hit on every tackle he makes. Sometimes you need to just wrap up. I think it was either UCLA or Ohio he whiffed on a tackle and gave the guy a 1st down on like 3rd and 9.

The kid is a freshmen, he is going to make mistakes. How else is he suppose to learn? As the season goes on the mistakes will go away. He will be a STUD!! You can just tell he is going to be a great Saftey for us.

because he's the best man for the job according to this staff, which has no reason to be doubted.

What an ignorant thread.

You play him now so he's a seasoned assassin in a year or two when the offense has improved enough that you have a chance to win a championship.

If it's even sort of close between a super-talented but raw freshman and a steady but mediocre upperclassman, you play the young guy. We're not competing for anything meaningful this year.

Id say at least top 5.....from what ive seen, i think he will be great. Whats wrong with that opinion??

Is he good? YES. Does he have a lot of upside? YES.

There is a long way to go for him to be one of the best in UT history. His roll is very simplified right now. When he gets to a position to where he can bait a qb and also make the play, then we can talk.

he might 'beast' and light em up at times, but he doesnt know how to tackle. kiffin is starting him because his other options are guys who have very little upside and he's looking toward the future.

You're an idiot if you don't think that someone as highly touted and highly talented as Janzen Jackson is not aware of how to make a simple tackle.
