Did you see Jones play? He was awful... and to make matters worse CBJ screwed Boulware so bad that he quit the team.

Did you see Jones play? He was awful... and to make matters worse CBJ screwed Boulware so bad that he quit the team.

I dont know. Jones has been jerked around since hes been here. His play this year has been mystifyimg. But his first two years when he came in he always looked like the best lineman on the team. Physical, he opened up the best running lanes, but still got less playing time than he should have.

It was no mistake that last year after a couple of lackluster games the starting OL lineup was changed up to include jack jones as a starter and immediately they start playing well.

I think he wanted center and prob would be a great center, and this was around the time he apparently quit the team for a day or so missing a practice this past summer.

Ive thought he deserved starting position since he got here. Kept my eye on him ever since he had that epic battle with Andrew Butcher during the tennessee drill while they were (i think) early enrollees.

Something has happened with Jack, and based on Lyle's track record, i doubt the student athlete is to blame.

Byrd isn't playing CB because he has never played there in his life. He was an outstanding WR/S in High School.

I know facts don't matter on this board but Kendrick and Robertson have graded out 1-2 all but one week this year with Smith consistently #3. Smith is going to be great but he is the 3rd best lineman this year which should be expected since he is still learning the blocking scheme. The OL issue is we have only 3 good linemen with a huge drop off after these guys.

There's your answer. He looked good as a freshman, forced to play before he probably should have an now further along under Butch he don't. Look to good!

JJ almost lost his starting position early in the year and he threatened to quit. Should have started Venzell Boulware and let the chips fall where they may. Now we have lost Bouleare and JJ having trouble handling the position.
