Why are fans calling for Hart's job? He DIDN'T hire Dooley; he actually did what you wanted him to do and fired him. He went after a long shot, at best, in Gruden because the fan base wanted him to... Just because he didn't land the holy grail, doesn't mean he needs to be fired. I don't think it mattered who we had at A.D. or what the offer was, Gruden wasn't leaving his current dream job for this headache.

I honestly think we all just need to relax. Watch and see what happens with the coaching search and, most importantly, stop with the speculation. The speculation is actually embarrassing to our program because every time we don't land a brilliant coach, it's like a slap in the face to our program...

Well, it is our off season - what else can we jump on? Hart is a sweet target in November/December. He should have had the BEST coach hired within 2 days of KY game if not b4. Oh and speaking of those Haslems.......

I thought Hart was supposed to have Vince Lombardi announced as coach during halftime of the Kentucky.

They are calling for Hart's head because he didn't deliver Gruden and because they are afraid he's going to "pull a Hamilton" on us and hire another Dooley.

All I'm saying is if we continue to make these kind of rash decisions, who would honestly want to work for The University of Tennessee?! If our program were run like a business and decisions were made by our fan base, we'd be bankrupt within a week! It's just ridiculous, allow our AD to do his job... complain when he actually makes a bad decision...

Also, I actually just saw a thread to "bring Hamilton back" ....are you kidding?! He single-handed destroyed our athletics program!

Cause people think he didn't deliver not that I know anything. The reason he bothers me is cause he really gives off the perception of doing nothing .

He didn't fired him last year when he SHOULD have, and thus he's straddled this team with a huge millstone about it's neck, this season. The fans deserved better. The players deserved better.

When a coach is on the hot seat, and breaks historical records of incompetence, and subsequently loses 80% of his staff...leaving on their own volition...THAT is the time to move. Not after you've thoroughly castrated the program! I'm not one who wants to fire coaches at the drop of a hat, but sometimes...when you take a big gamble with a coach with no credentials, you HAVE to be more decisive than Hart has been.

Had he moved to stop the hemorrhaging, last December, this team probably has Sumlin as a coach and is likely 11-1 to 9-3.

Now, he wants us all to believe that it was just a pipedream and that he never even bothered to make an offer to Gruden....just a cordial "Is your client interested" call yesterday? If true, damn right he should be fired!

I agree with you, but I lived in Tallahassee for 7 years and watched Hart in action. He fought the major donors on getting rid of Bowden who had clearly lost it. But I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, however all bets are off if he hires Butch Jones. You know one of the few coaches even Dooley could beat.

And we will be stuck with him for another 3-5yrs + another massive buyout just to castrate our program.

Who would want to work here? Are you kidding? Look what we've been getting before you say that?

The better question is "Who would want to pay for the garbage we've been getting? Why has this fanbase put up with this level of Suckage for so long?

If a business keeps giving their client defective goods/services, you better believe there will be some pushback from the consumer.

I believe Gruden had intrest but Hart on the otherhand really wanted nothing to do with it and wants to prove "something" by taking this in his own hands instead of letting the deep pocket boosters take control of this search. Hamilton was just as bad but he would've pulled the trigger and been on Gruden like white on rice b/c the boosters want Gruden. Hart didn't want Gruden wasn't the first guy on his list either. HE struck out there but Charlie Strong or Gundy are my 2 choices now that Gruden is out

And the answer is to consistently fire people and rack up more debt?!

Plus what does that say to your next potential hire? Hit a grand slam or your out on your ass in 3 years flat? Oh, but enjoy the parting gift of ANOTHER contract buy-out.

Why are fans calling for Hart's job:

1. Many are like children. If they don't get their way (hiring Gruden) they throw a fit.

2. Why are you surprised? The same fans have been hollering for the past 10 years: Fire Fulmer, Fire Chavis, Fire Pearl, Fire Chavis, Fire Hamilton, Fire Dooley, Fire Sunseri, Fire Hart, Fire Cheeks, Fire the Janitor, Ticket Taker, .........
Most of these guys have been fired and we are still losing!!!!! Granted, some needed firing, but the whiners offer no solutions. Just fire the SOB.

3. You can't blame many of them. Many are too young to shave and have limited life experiences.

4. Some are just trolls who want to stir the pot.

HEY EVERYBODY..Keep this guys name on your 1st look list. He knows what both Gruden and Hart were thinking and wanting. What better source could we have than this? I am keeping my eye on you..thanks for the inside information - keep us informed on what the big players are thinking and doing behind the scenes. Appreciate it.:hi:

Dooley did deserve a chance to coach his third year. He took over one of the biggest trainwrecks in college football.
