Don't know if Butch is the man or not, but I do know that I love the passion of our fan base. I wouldn't trade em for any other. We want to win. We go overboard. We are impatient. We won't stand for losing. Any coach who comes here needs to know what they are getting into. It's a challenge being the UT head coach.

I really hope Butch succeeds. He's done all of the right things in terms of recruiting, discipline, tradition, and bringing former players back into the fold. But he needs to win. I'm pulling for him!!

If he doesn't win.................all that I can say is WHOA.........it will be rough for him in the next 2 or 3 weeks as it will get REALLY UGLY on VOLNATION.........but I love my VOLS.......and he might start getting that DOOLEY heat.........

We need a "36" mindset. For every 3 posts there needs to be at least a total of 6 likes. That's an average of 2 "likes" per post. That's the challenge and mindset I put toward all of you posters every time you post. You need to have a liking mindset that every time your fingers touch your keyboard or device that you are posting something that at least 2 people will like.

It's critical. We tell our VN members everyday. There are 4 phases to posting on VN. Personal, Educational, Extracurricular, and Sarcastic. Sarcastic is the phase that sets the great ones apart. Any poster can exchange personal, educational, or extracurricular banter. But in a sudden change atmosphere, those who can detect and thrive in a snarky and sarcastic environment are the ones who will succeed. We work on this every day, to get 1% better each day. We have improved, but we still have a long, long way to go.

67% of our posters had never posted on another forum before joining our site.

Everything is about the continuation of improvement, continuing to be a better poster every time we come to VolNation. Obviously you want to see the posts improve each and every day. With some of today's posts I felt we took a step back and so we need to come back again tomorrow and try to get 1% better.

I've been watching and rooting for Tennessee for over 40 years. I know the disappointment of having crappy seasons. Hell, I've lived through more down seasons in the 70's and 80's that makes this latest stretch look like a cake walk. It took Johnny Majors several years to get TN back to winning football.

I'm pretty much fed up with whiny B's like you and your ilk. Jones is recruiting well, he has the team playing better football and he's on the cusp of having TN playing for a championship. The bottom line is it takes time to recover from a complete idiot like Dooley.

We've made progress this year over last year and if we lose a 17 point lead next year you might have a complaint. This is a still a young, but talented team and they need to grow up before we kick some major ass.

Butch isn't a good Gameday coach. His philosophy (get a tight lead and play field position and clock) doesn't work at this level. I will eat my crow with a smile on my face if he can prove me wrong Saturday. I'm not a negative fan, I just call it exactly like I see it.

Can you honestly say you believe he's a good Gameday coach? It doesn't make you less of a fan to say no.
