You don't know what the funk you're talking about. Saying "they turned us down" is easy to say. But the question that always goes unanswered is... "WHAT WERE WE OFFERING?"None of the big time coaches want to come here. You people need to get that through your thick skulls. We got turned down by La. Tech's coach. Let that sink in. He makes 500k. You really think a big name would come here when he wouldn't?
Most posters on here didn't want Pearl back because he has baggage and all of a sudden they are ok with a midget with baggage. smh....Hart and Booger needs to be fired. I hope they have something for him to stand on at the presser.
Is it just because he's our second choice? Everyone seemed to be so high on White when in reality Tyndall is exactly the same (or better) than White based on track records.
What White has going for him is: he is younger and plays a faster pace game. Also has more recent SEC experience than Tyndall.
Tyndall outdoes White in the fact that: He has made the NCAA tournament and has won a game (White has not even made an appearance), has shown improvement in record at EVERY SINGLE SEASON at both schools he has worked at, knows the Middle TN area well from working at MTSU, and we don't have to worry about him bolting for another school like with White.
I was a big advocate of White coming, but the more I read about Tyndall, the more I like this guy. So. Miss supporters have nothing but good things to say about him and he has almost an identical record as White (even went 2-1 against White head-to-head for what it's worth)
I just don't get why everyone was on the White bandwagon and now it's all doom and gloom about a much more proven coach in Tyndall?
Cause Hart wants to go after all these mid major coaches whose name you have to google instead of going after well known coaches whose had success everywhere he's been.

I'm glad other people are saying what I've been thinking.
Ever since the potential names rolled out, I just thought "damn, I don't want this guy to be the face of our program"
I hope he has success, and he has had it so far in his career, but I don't want to look at the guy to be honest.

A big name coach does not want to come to Tennessee when he looks at what we have coming back. Just like in football. Butch will get us back on top in football and I believe Donnie will be good for UT basketball. I thank Butch and Donnie for coming here and putting in the hard work it will take to clean up the mess they were left. You waite and see after Butch and Donnie get us back on top there will be a lot of big name coaches that will want the Tennessee job. So all you big name coaches you can shove it we have our coaches at Tennessee. :hi:
