Why is everyone so down on Tyndall?

Because no great basketball program would ever hire an unproven or unknown coach like Billy Donovan/Florida (from Marshall), Dean Smith/UNC (asst with no HC experience), Roy Williams/Kansas (asst with only HS HC experience), John Wooden/UCLA (Indiana State), Tom Izzo/Michigan State (asst with only HS HC experience), John Thompson/Georgetown (St. Anthony's HS), Coach K/Duke (Army), Bobby Knight/Indiana (Army), Jim Boeheim/Syracuse (asst with no HC experience), Jim Calhoun/UConn (Northeastern), Adolph Rupp/Kentucky (Freeport HS), Ray Mears/Tennessee (Wittenberg). Let's give the new coach a chance to succeed or fail before we go off the deep end.

Cause Hart wants to go after all these mid major coaches whose name you have to google instead of going after well known coaches whose had success everywhere he's been.

Ironic, because to anyone who actually watches college basketball outside of Tennessee, Tyndall is well-known and has had success everywhere he's been

can I be honest? Because he looks a little awkward, is one reason. People won't admit it, but I think its a reason. His track record is solid and his style is something UT fans seem to like. He kindof looks like a womens basketball coach. just sayin. Like the one Vandy or somebody used to have, with a mix of Terry Bowden, who I wouldn't want because I think Terry with a wig looks like a woman.

I don't usually throw out compliments like this but because I think you're having fun with it....I haven't laughed this hard in months....THANKS!!!!

To answer the OP....because that's how Tennessee fans roll lol.

Seriously though, I'm not jumping up or down but this is a solid hire. I'm more sold on Tyndall than when Martin was hired. The man's a proven winner and the fans will love him. Hes weird looking but I wouldn't care if Hart named Mickey Mouse our coach as long as he wins.

The guy deserves our support

One day? There's a reason no one on here uses their pic as their avatar

Good point. As for the poster disappointed in our coach's face. I highly doubt he'll have a problem staring at his new coach's girlfriend instead.

I don't like his face.

I'm glad other people are saying what I've been thinking.
Ever since the potential names rolled out, I just thought "damn, I don't want this guy to be the face of our program"

I hope he has success, and he has had it so far in his career, but I don't want to look at the guy to be honest.

Ollie is a UCONN alum. He'll be their coach for as long as they still want him.

We're just kidding around. You can't judge a man based on the way he looks.
