Why Is Everyone Giving Us No Chance To Beat Florida?

The big reason we arent being given a shot is because UF is about a 3td better team and they are playing at home. I dont see how on earth you could be surprised by this.

I hope the scoundral Turds don't eat our players, they sound mighty screery. I can't imagine the amount of crow that would be ingested worldwide should we win this game. All the pressure is on those fools. They have to back up of of this bs hype and defend the Championship. Probably not, but dammit boy! How I would love to watch Tebow weep like a bi--h and Meyer squirm like a worm at the post game interviews should they lose! Even better would be watching the media try to justify this week of total Turd worship !! Fingers crossed, and lucky Underware in place. GO VOLS PUNK THE TURDS IN THAT SEPTIC TANK IN Gaysville!!! Yahooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!

This is an example that one should not post when high on drugs. I would venture to say that Florida is three deep at every position with four star, or five star, ball players. I know Alabama has 53 four/five star rated players on the roster right now so I would think UF would be even better that that. How many do we have on the roster of this rating? Maybe ten?

If you think we are a pretty good team I think you have been watching reruns from ten years ago.

How many 4*\5* players did Utah have last year? They beat the DOG MESS out of crappabamma.

Some of you are missing the point. Its not that UT cant win but the chances are very, very slim. Sometimes you have to look at reality and be ready for it. Does that mean myself and others who see whats about to happen are less fans? Not at all. Florida is just a much better team than we are right now. The foundation for a good team is being laid and starting in 2010 and beyond all bets are off.

Let me put this in a mathematical format

UCLA > UT

UCLA =/= UF

UF = UCLA^890739765

Therefor UF > UT

this has nothing to do with what you posted, but your avatar has me in tears. that is truly a face only a mother could love

F*&k Florida. Every season is filled with disappointments and I think Florida and their can't lose team might just be one of them.

They are favored by 30 and in my experience under dogs get lost in the hype and come in and upset the status quo.

This is not gonna be a blowout, I think TN will give them all they want.

So I'm guessing you haven't watched many games then, because it really doesn't happen that much compared to the opposite. It just stands out more when it does.

I agree. I want UT to win with all my being, but I have to brace for the reality of the situation. FL has so much talent right now. But we are getting the talent now too. Look at last sunday for a great example. I would be more concerned if this staff did not have many quality commits. Give it time guys.

As far as "Prime upsets" go, I would say it doesn't get more Prime.

This has got to be the biggest pre-game media shelacking our VOLS have ever taken.

I certainly don't remember a time when so much coverage was about us getting our butts handed to us. Typically they wait until the VOLS are down by 3 points to bandwagon on the other team... any other team we ever seem to trail.

I don't think we've ever received much respect from ESPN or other sports news channels but it's getting stupid.

All part of Kiffin's plan. He has gotten the media to do the UF buildup so he can sneak up on 'em. :)

So if the situation were reversed...UT is #1, the defending national champion, with a previous Heisman winning QB in line for a possible second one, and playing at home, against a Florida team that had a below average QB and had just lost at home to UCLA....you're saying you'd think people were crazy for saying UT would win by several TDs? And you wouldn't be laughing at Gator fans who were saying UT was prime for upset and all this?

Ya see, I'm a FAN of UT!!. Of course if the shoe was on the other foot I'd be laughing.....duh!.

There are always big upsets in college football. I just say a clip on ESPN on USC's huge losses to unranked teams the past four years. The one that caught my the most was USC's loss to Stanford 2 years back. I believe that you can never right off a team no matter the circumstances. Though I do not believe that tennessee will beat Florida but I think that it will not be as big a blowout as ESPN is making it out to be. I'm predicting that the score margin will be no more than 15 points and though the Gators win the game, Kiffin wins the battle because it wasn't a blowout. Then the recruits will know which team they will want to be apart of in the future. GO VOLS!!!!!!!!

I don't care what the spread is, how pissed UM (and the gators) are at CLK, how bad that media wants to see CLK get it handed to him, or how bad JC looked last week (and what he will face tomorrow).

Put on the orange like any other Saturday, and wear it proud.

Anything less, and your a Vandy fan.

I'm trying to figure out how a team that has won two of the last 3 national titles is "overrated."

:lolabove: I'm having a bit of trouble wrapping my head around it to..

Somebody needs to remove the koolaid immediately. I think it has been spiked with LSD or some other mind altering substance...

I don't even know why they wasted the money to fly down there to paly. Why show up when you are a 30 point underdog. The way I see it, why play? I guess CK and the boys are just going to go with heads hung down and take their medicine from Urban and his boys.

Ok...Lets get real here for just a whole min...
Yeahhhhh we all know Jonathan Crompton played like crap last week..yes he did.."OMG did he ever"...but let's recap for a min...I know western kentucky is probably nowhere near the team like any SEC team is...but u gotta give the boy props..I mean he came out and had an outstanding game..threw more yards and touchdown passes in one game than he did all season last year..

we lost by 4 points last week and everbody is throwin him to the dogs..I know he threw back to back interceptions and he has a lot of times in the past...but the past is the past and this is one game.."We lost 1 game"...the defense caused 4 0r 5 funbles and we only jumped on one ball..but u don't hear anybody jumpin all over the defense...

One thing about it the boy has heart..I mean as much as the media has given him down the road and the fans show so much hatred towards him..he still gets right back up and goes out and fights every weekend...

so with all that said here is my question to the vol nation...Lane has put together one of the best coaching staffs I have ever seen in college football and probably "the" best I will ever see in my lifetime..these guys are great..just look at there resime's...do u guys honestly think that if Crompton couldn't help get the job done...he would be playing?...My opinion...Hell No...I mean they recruited the number one running back in the nation...and he's been playing...do u not think he could have gotten a qb....I believe he could have...but I think he knew he had something to work with that could produce wins...

As far as this spread goes for the weekend...That's all bs...our defense is unbelievable...and I believe our defense will be one of the best in the SEC by the time season is over...If we are not pumped and ready to rock this weekend...we shouldn't even be playing in the sec...I dunno if u guys believe this or not...but I believe this is gonna be an all out brutal game and will come down to the last seconds ...Crompton or no Crompton...Have a lil faith...You do have to remember this is his last year...and I believe that this game will defy his future in football...so don't think he does'nt kno that and isn't trying...Go Vols!!!

Again.....don't act so surprised when the majority thinks you're going to get destroyed. You just admitted you'd be doing the same thing. Just because it's YOU on the wrong end doesn't make things any different.

To answer the original question, talent. There is likely not any great difference in the ability to coach regarding Meyer and Kiffin. So then it becomes a talent game, right now UF is winning in talent and depth.

Let's see here...a UT team with a number of great offensive minds can't put up 14 points against UCLA, then they're playing probably the best version of a team that's won two of the last three national championships on the road.

Want a comparison? Take the 1997 team, subtract all the NFL talent, and put them against that Nebraska team in Lincoln.

Yeah, how could anyone think that UT has no chance?

Who are the top 2 teams in college football this year?

What would the point spread be if they met on a neutral field?

I think UF and Texas with UF favored by 10, the same as the line in last year's SECCG. UF covered the spread in all 13 of their wins last year.

The bookies gotta keep bumping it up or they are gonna get hosed.

UT is not being singled out for disrespect here.
