We lost 2 games -
Kansas and Kentucky

I don’t know any other fan base that would freak out only losing 2 games against these opponents.

Kentucky wasn’t number 5 for the hell of it. TN wasnt number 1 for the hell of it.

We Also get 1 more chance against KY!

We lost four buckets, and one was a three, due to Vandy fouling just before we shot the ball. If you add that nine points on to the score it doesn't look near as bad. In another thread it was mentioned that we are tired; that seems ridiculous considering how well out D played; we had several blocked shots. What does worry me, is that this is two games in a row that Bowden has been cold. He seems to have the most fragile psyche; looking back at last season, once he went cold he stayed cold the remainder of the season. We need him.

The only thing that worries me moving forward is that we can't just be the Grant Williams show. Teams in the SEC and NCAA tournament will double him and try to rough him up, when that happens someone has to step up and lately Admiral and Turner haven't been shooting it very well and Bowden has been a non factor. Against UK Grant only had 4 FG's. 4!!!! That can't happen moving forward. If it does and someone else doesn't step up we will lose.

Probably because we had been struggling to beat some worse teams and generally seemed to be running on autopilot a while, and then when we have a big game against our biggest rival, we were pretty much dominated. And then we follow up with a performance against a not great Vandy team with another so-so performance when people thought the UK loss would "wake us up" and put a chip back on our shoulder.

Not saying I completely agree with all that, but that's generally why people are concerned IMO.

KY really balled out against MO, too. Just saying. They're so elite. I wish I was KY. They have four losses, but they have good reasons for those losses. We suck. Someday, maybe our basketball team won't suck anymore.

They won by 8. Is that "balling out". Go crawl back into your hole.

Edit: if in sarcasm mode, bravo.

Taking Barnes comments and postgame on ESPN thought comments were pretty consistent. It's conference play, where this is second time most teams have seen us, and you just have to battle it out. Barnes seemed good w/ D, and pretty OK with the win. Have and will only play LSU once, so if we go to what got us here, which is getting ball to Admiral or Grant and have them make their moves or pass the ball outside, we'll win. If we play that perimeter stuff all night, we've been doing for much of the last two games, we'll probably lose on Sat. Double teams lead to high percentage of points, foul shots or open shots, but have to get the ball down low for that to happen.

Well, it's YOUR CHOICE. If you wish you could be UK, then you can.

Every fanbase freaks out after a loss. Don't act like it's just UT. Check out a Duke board after the Syracuse game or A UK board after Seton Hall. Everyone does it.

I agree about playing x2. Makes the scouting report come with a real life 2hr 3D video for opposing teams.
That being said, LSU and any NCAAT teams will have over 20 game films of 18/19 to pour over. If you have weaknesses then they have almost all been exposed by now. IMO, teams have to UK us. Pack the box, play physical and demand that to win our perimeter game win it. Plus they have the bodies in the paint to actually pull it off.

You beat me to it. Man this place is gets on edge more than a social justice warrior convention in the same meeting hall as a gun show! 🤣

Considering some of the drive bys and BVS posts, it's hard to tell when someone is being funny and being serious.

Most of it is overreacting

I agree most of the childish silly reactions are from people who just drive by occasionally. Most fans who understand what’s going on can approach it a little bit more logically .

I’m going through some pretty intense physical therapy right now and a couple of the therapist are like me ...big UT fans. Both are very logical and understand the game really well and I so enjoyed talking to them about the Kentucky and Vandy game today. Both of their thoughts were very well thought out describing what happened and what didn’t happen but there was no sense of “the sky is falling” kind of stuff. I absolutely refuse to discuss sports or a game with people like that anymore ....it’s just takes the fun out of it for me. I like people who are a student of the game and not an emotional reactor to the game .
