Which is irrelevant in this discussion. Unless the reporters were being major jerks to him and I'm missing something, but sounds like they just asked a pretty simple question that we ALL are asking and Pruitt was an ass about it.

Real question. How does this happen? Don’t say he’s over his head. This staff has coached at big time places and all had success. We’ve got better than average talent but just no results. I know none of them has been a head coach on the staff but they have all been great at other places. I understand the HC takes the blame ( and rightfully so) but I just don’t understand how this staff can’t put together a solid game plan

There is a lot of psychology involved in coaching and they can’t really get that part of it going. Probably a million reasons. At this level, players need to make big and enduring personal sacrifices in exchange for basically nothing. Motivating them to do that is a gift. That’s the biggest issue, or maybe it’s just the widespread issue, but there are certainly other problems.

I’ll play the devils advocate here. Have you seen some of these nerds that are asking him questions at these press conferences? I mean I would question if 75% of them have ever played a sport in their lifetimes, so I believe that is a relevant statement.

Yes, football is different than many things because the results are immediate and measurable. You don't have to wait to see if an investment matures, you know immediately if something worked or not.

Apparently it takes UT Administration 3 or more years.
