*****Why I hate the Alabama Crimson Tide

And don't ever believe that the rednecks are not obsessed with us. This "bammerwriter" guy/gal posted 44 times on VN yesterday alone, from just after 9 a.m. to 11:44 p.m. before finally giving up for the day. And he/she is already back at it this morning, along with her/her sidekick trucktimes.

Things must be slow at the North Birmingham Hardees.

For my generation of Vol alums and before, there is no rival we hate more than Bama. The stop signs on campus all had 'Bama' spray painted under 'STOP'.

My co-op job while I was a student in Knoxville placed me in Guntersville, AL every other quarter for 2 years. 83 and 84, both Vol wins and surrounded by bammers half of the year.

A shoutout needed to the Vol fan giving the thumbs up. A true hero!

Honestly, aren't we just jealous of their success? I can't stand seeing all the giant script A stickers everywhere. I can't stand seeing top recruits from Tennessee wearing bama gear and signing with them. We want what they have, so we hate them.

No, I hated them as much in 2001 as I do now. We could win the next 20, and nothing will change for me. Everything about that program elicits a genuine, seething hatred. I'm envious of Clemson since half their team would probably be wearing the right shade of orange if we hadn't fallen into this sinkhole, but no, I just loathe Alabama and their stupid elephant mascot.

Nah, Vols fans hated them even when we were rolling them year after year.

As a said in another thread

I have not forgotten when Tony Robinson got hurt the scumbag Bama fans cheered. I was there. There’s no excuse for it. There’s no spinning such vile behavior. It is the way the fans of Bama think. Cheering for an injury if you think it increases your chance of winning

**** those guys and everyone associated with them

As you were

Nope
I genuinely don’t like most people themat say they’re Bama fans. Most of the time before they say anything about being a fan

Did we hate the Nazis because they were awesome Olympic hosts and cornered the Zyklon B spa market?
Did we hate the Japanese and Mao because we wanted to whack those 100M Chinese?
Stalin because he fooked up communism for the rest of us?

Baby-eating vampires because "damn!...why didn't I think to serve those for game day hors d'oeuvres?"
The coyote who ate Sparky because we had been fattening him up for Thanksgiving?
Child pornographers because of their command of the 2/3rds rule of subject composition?
Jeffery Dahmer because we all want a private harem of lobotomized, homosexual zombies who double as pizza toppings?

Some things are simply worth hating. Indeed, some abominations, aberrations, and grotesqueries God simply puts here to remind us it's not all loaves and fishes. To remind us to recoil in horror at the animated sacks of wicked meat sprinkled among us.

Lot's wife looked back at biblical Tuscaloosa; true story.

No, there's some things we don't want. Having 666 tatooed on our collective necks and a team named for menstrual cycles/tidal algae blooms/Commie submarines is #1 on that list.

"Faith, hope, and hating Alabama.
And the greatest of these is hating Alabama."

Genesis 1:0 and Revelation 22:22

We hate Alabama because God instilled that primordial aversion in us.
We do his work.
Amen.

You right we do hate them

Recently snapped this pic at my local Home Depot... yes, the store with the orange logo...

I invite your caption to the pic, but, at this moment, mine is "What pre-Saban bammer fans would have looked like if the NCAA would have really investigated their program."20190930_161923 - Copy.jpg

It's not the players so much or even the coaches. It's their relentlessly stupid fans. Amazing football team? Absolutely true. Horrible bandwagon fans? Also true.

Respect the fans that went to bama, or were born there / live there and have some degree of perspective. Cannot stand the ones that climbed aboard during the Saban era and/or have zero connection to the state or program. They are without fail the most obnoxious ones you will encounter.
Every time I see one out and away from Bama, I ask them why, 8 out of 10 times I get "I don't know, I just like them." What BS.
