Fair point...but we've got 10 months to "work like heck" and dedicate ourselves to "getting more physical" and "getting back to playin' Tennessee football." So, no worries.

we have been saying this same thing for the last 5 years!always next year! i personally am tired of hearing next year! time is now..so get it done

Well I have to say this schedule(2008) is slightly better than 2009. The schedule from the start is hard, and well to get out of Oct, alive will be a miracle.

Sept. 12 UCLA Knoxville
Sept. 19 Florida* Gainesville
Sept. 26 Ohio Knoxville
Oct. 3 Auburn* Knoxville
Oct. 10 Georgia* Knoxville
Oct. 24 Alabama* Tuscaloosa
Oct. 31 South Carolina* Knoxville

Phil is not going anywhere. But, I do hope replaces Chavis and the whole defensive staff.

The coaching staff sucks. They cant even get players up for the Bama game, but I dont think it gets any better by getting rid of chavis. Tn just doesnt have the players on defense. The only good ones are too young. And on offense they refuse to put the playmakers on the field . They have a QB that can throw, receivers that can catch (sometimes) and all they do is throw the ball in the flat to a tailback that I can outrun.

Look at our '08 schedule
Why would he leave when the schedule get's remarkable easier next year:

Aug. 30 UAB Knoxville
Sept. 6 at UCLA Pasedena
Sept. 20 Florida Knoxville
Sept. 27 at Auburn Auburn
Oct. 4 Northern Illinios Knoxville
Oct. 11 at Georgia Athens
Oct. 18 Mississippi State Knoxville
Oct. 25 Alabama Knoxville
Nov. 1 at South Carolina Columbia
Nov. 8 Wyoming Knoxville
Nov. 22 at Vanderbilt Nashville
Nov. 29 Kentucky Knoxville
Dec. 6 SEC Championship Atlanta

We have basically been saying something similar to this for the last 5 years...."we will be good next year", "we will beat Florida", Etc...etc....etc...and guesss what we havent

yeah UCLA got beat by ND which is almost laughable. (almost) however they were playing with the 3rd string QB. (a walk on freshman) .. ND still only scored 20 points with 7 UCLA turnovers. How well would we do in the same sitaution?

We also aren't the only team that is going to be losing our QB and/or other important players. That doesn't mean we're going to win any of those games, but it's way too early for that.
