Why fire Butch Jones only to hire Schiano?

This honestly makes no sense. Schiano is no upgrade. He's basically Butch Jones minus the recruiting.

We won't be able to recruit with him. And we won't be able to win.

This can't be true because it makes no sense.

was there a new rule I missed that says we can't hire football coaches that have coached in the South...:)

PS. surely, we're not gonna hire GS...this may not work out very well for all concerned...hear me, Big Jim...:crazy:

Exactly. This makes no sense. If this was April 1st I'd think it was an April Fools Joke. We should just hire Butch Jones back because Greg Schiano is a downgrade. Hiring Schiano may turn out to be as bad as the Dooley hire or worse.

I will believe they hired him when it is released but this is what I was worried about. We have a bunch people in the office that doesn’t care about TN football. And, this is what you get when no one cares.

It's just the UT admin doing what the UT admin does. Going into a situation with what was probably a half-azzed plan to begin with and getting caught with their pants down when it didn't go just exactly perfect (which it never does). Now they are probably, unnecessarily IMO, panicky and scrambling.

It's just yet another confirmation of the piss poor leadership at UT.
