nitwit? clever . . . oh so clever.

We go 6-6 or 5-7 and we see, at max, 90,000 at home games next year. And an average of 80,000 after we **** the bed again. That's BLEEDING money from the AD.

You can bet your ass-we will have a new coach in 2013.

It's about the money. Dooley's not going anywhere, and I'll tell you why. when Kiffin took off, he only had to pay $800,000, which made his departure that much easier. Well, TN decided they'd do something about that with the next coach, and they did. If Dooley leaves after this season, he owes TN $3 million, which ain't gonna happen.

For the last 3 years of Dooley's contract (2013–2015), he'd only have to pay $1 million if he resigned. Dooley's not resigning.

So, let's say Dooley gets fired after this season. Well then TN would owe him $4 million. Even if Dooley got fired after his 4th or 5th season, TN would still owe him $4 million. If he got fired in the last year of his contract (2015), TN would owe him $2.5 million. And, oh yeah, TN bought his $500,000 buyout to get him out of La Tech in the first place.

The guy's not hurting for cash. He makes $1.8 million a year. But with numbers like these, he's not going anywhere anytime soon, especially since TN ended up in the red after last year. So, beyond all doubt, it doesn't matter what he does this year, he'll still be around next year. Dooley may go 6–7, but he'll still be around next year.

FACE PALM!!

like i've said, the donors still support dooley

No they don't, or at least they don't after tonite and they sure as hell won't after bama and SC get done with us. Money will not be a factor in sending Dooley out. By the way, what donors have told you they still support Dooley

Bring dools back next year and watch what happens with ticket sales. You think Hart doesn't know that? Boosters will come up with the money, dooleys gone.

Oh look, this post again.

If we need the money, it will be there.

P.O.T.U.S. (President of the United States) can go before Congress and ask for a Stimulus package for us.
We had great results from the last Stimulus...

Pretty soon it's gonna be Dooley vs. the fans-- 102K+ fans and donors who buy tickets and merchandise plus donate to the TN Fund. Who do you think will blink first?

You understand that we were in the red because of losing right? Our boosters make more money when Knoxville is PACKED game weekends. Hundreds of millions down the drain every season we suck. Money is not a valid argument for CDD to stay, but the best argument for him to go.

We don't have the cupcake schedule next year that we do this year. In fact, this was the last year we have borderline bad out of conference play.

@Oregon
home/away Oklahoma
home/away Nebraska

If Dooley can't hit 9 wins this year... he certainly won't next year.

All that matters are when the Haslems have had enough losing. They've spent close to $2 billion on other ventures the past 2 years, $5 million buyout is chump change.

They will lose more that $4 million with Neyland half empty next season

With hotseat talk in abundance ..recruiting will drop way off...promising several more years of financial struggles

This doesnt even consider losses in merchandizing.

Its a good investment to drop Dooley now

But... But.... We don't have the money for a new coach.

Haslem, Thornton, Stokely all our biggest boosters own businesses in and around Knoxville. When the vols are winning these businesses make LOTS more money, say 50 million per game weekend. When we are losing, and people are not coming here they make say 25 million. Over the next three years that's 75 million lost due to a bad team. Or you could give say 10 million right now, and get that 75 million. What would you do?
