Why don't we have better QBs on the bench?

JG does well in spurts, which is just not good enough to play with the big boys every game. We are an elite program but you wouldn't know by the last few years. What is wrong with us if we can't go back to the bench to get a better QB? Shouldn't we have one or more in reserve?
I'm starting to believe they don't get enough repsn

I see all of these lower tier programs across the nation have quarterbacks who dazzle the crowds by making plays that bring the house down - doing it consistently. By the way. when was the last time GA won a Natty? How many have they won overall? So, why are we not getting the prestige we deserve or the respect? Go figure.

Terrible coaching and terrible recruiting.

This is on the coaches. Guarantano was a complete liability. We lost because of him.

These coaches should be able to see that we have a limiting factor at QB for two years now. And he shouldn’t have been QB1 over the offseason.

The coaches should have made it clear Guarantano is a backup and give any other QB the confidence to do something.

Our O-line did NOTHING to help. They knew we couldn't run the ball after the first few series and basically decided the line couldn't block on pass play's either so what we saw is where we are when it comes to playing with the big boys. I hate it !!!! JG waits way to long to decide what to do with the ball when they bring pressure. If you have not released the ball in about 2-3 seconds you better have a plan B quick and there in is the problem he doesn't have a plan B. I have never been one to talk bad about a young man but he looks at one guy and he will wait and wait for him to get open and if he doesn't it is to late to often. I hope they can work on maybe getting a couple of younger guys some reps because the future is on the bench not on the field at this point. Weinke really needs to do a better job, 3 or 4 years of work is enough time and you should expect much better results..

There should be a competent back-up on the bench who can step in and give our starting QB a break on the sidelines when he gets into the kind of trouble JG had yesterday. Just a chance to re-group. What we witnessed was our starting QB falling apart for several plays and our head coach doing nothing. How much worse than JG are the other QB's we have in reserve that JP wouldn't put one of them in, even if just for a series, maybe two ??

i just cant understand..last year he (pruitt) did the right thing..he started a qb other than that northern flake..then this year he doesnt..it was the best decision then and it was the only one now..HORRIBLE COACHING DECISION..our coach flat out choked..even if he had put in another qb and we had scored some points to get it close we wouldnt of had the time outs a qb would need in the clutch to win a close game..he spent those because his fancy ass rotations caught him with 1 then 2 too many men on the field! NOT COACHING IN FEAR MY ASS

This. I see it every year, freshman start and wow people, change the team. Yet for some reason, we never have that.

I think Bailey is going to be a good one once he gets up to speed. Covid screwed him from making this a real competition. Jmo though.
I dont know if he will stick around. Pruitts handling of the QB position is rather bizarre right now. You can be sure other teams are whispering in Harrison Baileys ear as well.

Coaching was a major problem. Their shifting DL evidently wasn't coached to our OL. We didn't adjust to their continued blitzes. Who is responsible for
calling the proper pass protection when you see a blitz coming, or know a blitz is coming. Is that a coaching problem? Our rb's are very
inadequate in pass protection. Our TE's are weak at blocking. Many times they were standing up at the end of running plays, looking confused. Coaching?
