Why does no one else hire Schiano?

Keep seeing all these posts about how great a hire and coach Schiano is.

Well tell me this, then. With all of the open coaching positions this year, why has no one else hired him? Why has his name not been mentioned with any other coaching search?

He's out there. He's available. Why is no one going after him?

I wouldn’t concern yourself with the details. Any time a troll shows up to tell VN how stupid we are, they disappear when everyone lists facts and asks questions. The trolls never stick around to answer questions.

No one has been able to answer this question

He wasn't being seriously considered for any HC jobs before Sunday (other than ours because Currie is a tool) and his name has not been mentioned for any of the recent openings.

Yet, Currie and a few posters on here think he was a great choice.

Ridiculous!

Yep. Urban hired him straight from a High school after the chit show he had in Tampa. And by that I'm not talking about his Tampa record.

Haslam should hire him in Cleveland they are currently 0 and 11 probably lose the rest then he would have his man.

Arizona state

Not 1 of these schools has expressed any interest in Schiano that I can find.

I also don't remember Florida or UCLA reaching out to interview him.

Jaws, gator nation would have done the same thing as UT, because you're almost as fed up with your program and decisions around it as we are. You know it's true. May not have appeared as off colored because media so used to bashing UT...many times for good reason.

To the first question from OP, no one hiring him as because others use search firms, or have assistants who know how to use google.

Mike Gundy to coach Vols? Would be a great hire for Tn. Hope this is true! Hard to believe anything with all the rumors.

I would say because these other schools don't have to go with their 11th or 12th name on the list, but it seems Schiano was #1 on Currie's list. That is inexcusable.

It was said the assistant AD sounded the alarm when Currie got wheels up. He has one of these assistants thank goodness.
