Like I said before, I don't think it's the sun. I think it's the motion in which you tilt your head back.
My father-in-law is the same way. He loves York Peppermint Patties but has a sneezing fit every time he eats them.

I've read in a few different places that it's a genetic anomaly found in about 15%-20% in people.
