He knows the mess he created by leaving after one year, and the untoward things he did while in Knoxville are now being dissected and lampooned so like a child, he's lashing out at the only thing he can; Tennessee. He can't say what he did was right and defend it, we all know he acted like a callous jerk. He can't say he didn't party with coeds and wreck his car. There are pictures and a smashed car as proof. I understand all you people that demand everyone get it over or "grow a pair". But, I was always taught that when you feel you or your own were wronged, stand up for what you believe.

I believe that Lane Kiffin is a snake and he should be called out on the carpet. I also believe the boosters that kept that apartment and enabled him should be held accountable, as well. I'm always held accountable when I screw up, why are they getting a free pass? Because they have more money? If we do nothing to those whom behave badly, we reward and embolden them by our inaction....

Both posts stated this year. Dooley has had 2 weeks to try to bring in 5 star players that Kiffin hasn't been able to do in a year of his recruiting.

Someone bringing up that Dooley hasn't brought in 5 star players, compared to Kiffins 1 - 5 star (again, this year) isn't a reflection of Dooley. I think holding the class and still bring in the commitments has has is a reflection on Dooley.

That link was guessing that was Kiffins target visit. Maybe, and probably, that was the case, but what interest did you hear anywhere from Neal after that visit? I'm chalking Neal up as a Dooley score. You can give the assist to Kiffin and Co.

Right, so he bad mouths the players and school that did absolutely nothing but sacrifice for him?

He isn't attacking the fans is he? He isn't even attacking the fans who were responsible, is he? He's attacking a coach that had to pick up his mess and players that put their full trust in him. He's attacking an administration that did far more for him than he could have done for them if he'd completed his contract.

The guy intentionally got the hopes of everyone up to a fever pitch, hosed the Vols royally 3 weeks before NSD, lied to his players and everyone else, recruited UT's recruits, tried to steal (and may have succeeded) recruiting info, slow bled UT coaches off the staff,... and then wants to play the victim when people get upset?

Then that's kind of misleading, as it says that Kiffin has only gotten one 5 star for 2010 in 14 months when in reality he also got two 5 stars in 3 months for 2009...and we were likely on our way to getting more this year. Both of ours last year came after NSD. But as far as what you explicitly stated, you're right. And the lack of 5 stars so far really says nothing about Dooley.

I'd be willing to bet that Neal started looking hard at Tennessee right after that visit. That's what started everything and his visit here finished it. Probably would have happened regardless of whom the coach was...Kiffin was definitely interested, he just preferred Bennett.

Ambles never signed anything and he jumps around like the swine flu, brown is 1 I'll give you that, and Jackson, Im pretty sure was a 4 star, ranked lower then myles jr and was actually pulled in by oregeron and Monte not lame

And yes on the records because it should be a lot easier to make a lot of 1st rounders play better than a LA tech leftovers team and Tennessee even had a better foundation and about the same strength of schedule as la tech, especially when you compare the abilities of the players.

Kiffin didn't have a lot of first-rounders anywhere he was until right now. In Oakland and at Tennessee, he had a team that was inferior to the ones he needed to beat. And he did make them perform better than Louisiana Tech, considering that we went 7-6 while La. Tech and Dooley went 4-8. No one wins with the Raiders recently...

Exactly how is he supposed to do that? Any 5* that would give UT a glance was "on the radar". In over a year, CLK and gang with a full load of ace recruiters had worked on developing relationships. But none of those kids committed. In fact, several just flat out turned their back. And you want to give DD a D because he can't go to someone who wouldn't consider UT before, develop a relationship, and get a commit in less than 3 weeks? That's like handing a college Freshman a Calculus book and scheduling a test on the whole thing in two days.

OL was a huge need in last year's class... so much so that I went into a tailspin when CLK lost two of the 4 commits he inherited. With a full staff and over a month to recruit, Kiffin landed Revis who wasn't going anywhere else and Schofield. He didn't add ONE OL in over a month of trying.

When all is said and done, DD will add Fulton, Pair, and James... all of whom could have walked like Phillips and Foster did last year. Plus he will get at least a couple more possibly including Stone that CLK didn't have a shot at. As stated in this thread, CLK's negative recruiting is a big reason UT can't close with Green.

With a half a staff and less than one third the time... DD is going to do about as well if not better than Kiffin did last year.

Ambles would have signed with Kiffin at UT. Rogers wouldn't have... and probably wouldn't have gone this deep. Hunter wouldn't have either in spite of claims to the contrary.

Layla and Lane are party animals and enjoy the nightlife of California--more clubs, restaurants, stars everywhere at the parties, etc. Layla was bored stiff in Knoxville and wanted out.
