Why do you hate Alabama?

I grew up in the era when there was mutual respect between the 2 schools...Yes there was some hatred but you couldn't help but respect what Bama would do on the field...In those days it was nothing short of amazing...and i wanted to beat them so bad I couldn't stand it lol...Still do....I remember tailgating with many Bama people and We would tease each other and make friendly silly bets on who would win and it was always a good time had by both fans..It was FUN!..Now it's different, After fulmer being involved in getting them put on probation a lot of hate has come out of this rivalry and the people have changed a lot....I still respect Alabama and what they did back in the day and I love the UT/Bama rivalry like no other but I will always HATE florida more...But I always say, the only thing better than beating Alabama is beating them again and again ;-)

I hate bama fans because of their arrogance. They are always calling UT fans "hillbillies" but there is a lot more low rent, redneck trailer trash in the state of Alabama than Tennessee.

It really is unbelievable the level of arrogance displayed by Gator fans. Some of the older fans who remember the bad 'ol days are tolerable.

The Gator's fanbase is so juvenile it's pathetic. I think it's all a product of being 3rd fiddle in their own state for so long. FSU and Miami overshadowed them so much that Gator fans didn't know how to act once they finally became the better program.

What they said. And forgive me for hating FL more than Bama....but I am in FL, now. They are allll around me.


Please continue the Bama trashing....

Yeah I have always hated it too but now I hate it with a passion after we lost last year & all the Bama fans were in Neyland Stadium saying it over & over again at the end of the game . I cant wait to be in Bama singing Rocky Top when we beat them again. I hope V. Tech puts it on them this weekend & they start out the season 0-1.

I think Ole Miss or Lsu wins the west, but if bama lucks into the SEC title game, florida will beat them easy--worse than last year.

Guys I'm gonna possibly piss alot of you off but I think the reason the rivalry is so heated is because for you(UT) you have no instate rival that really is relevant. With the Bama rivalry there is a constant battle for alot of the same kids. The overall series is pretty much neck and neck. Face it, UF is a pain in the ass to us both but it wasn't until Spurrier came along that the Gators knew what a football looked like much less what you did with it. I hate Orange as much as you guys hate Crimson, but I respect the rivalry and the past and tradition that it carries with it.
