I find your comment touches on the REAL reason folks from bamma hate Tennessee so much and football is only one part of the overall equation.

The historical,political,cultural and scientific contributions of our great state, not only to the nation, but to the entire world, would fill up the next 25 pages of this thread. Dont forget..it was a Tennessean that gave birth to your state...oopps i forgot they only teach football revisionist history in Alabama ( its all they can fit into the bankrupt education budget)

Alabama has contributed Ruben and Taylor Hicks

Tennesse will ALWAYS be viewed by the "rest of the world" as being more than a few steps ahead of Alabama.

Because UT has a long and proud history but UA's is a little better. So, it's hard to brag about a long history of winning ways when there is always one a-hole in the room that can one up you.

though i doubt you'll look at this, please read this and come back and tell me you have 12...btw UT could potentially claim 6, in fact, the university has a few places on campus where they do (indoor practice field and neyland if i'm not mistaken)...however if you ask most UT fans we claim 2, 1951 and 1998...if bama fans didn't claim every single NC that some random reporter or newspaper claims and instead actually took into account how well other teams played that year i think the total comes out to be around 3 or 4

and until bama does this the "rest of the world" will view their fans as low lifes

Several of alabama's national titles are frauds. Bear Bryant had the NCAA in his pocket back in the 60s and 70s, with special rules for recruiting, paying players, etc. that gave him a big advantage over most teams.

I have some old friends from Tuscaloosa, and even they admit the problem.

As far as how much of the world I've experienced.......... some, not as much as I'd like. I have been to England, France, Belgium, and the Netherlands. How about you? I'm young yet. I'll see more before my time is up.

He's kind of a big deal down in texas as well ( another state the vols gave birth too)
Id consider that part of the "rest of the world" as well.
I challenge you or any other bammers to come up with 5 contributions to the world stage past or present. I will help..ruben,taylor hicks, courtney cox, and lynyrd skynyd (oops i forgot they were from jacksonville fla area) no real suprise there..lets see what your youthful mind can contribute

The 9 to 6 game really nailed the coffin for me. Bad enough getting beat down by them when they were better but the year we should have finally destroyed them they stole the show. My heart hurt for days after that one.
That being said, I still respected the program back then. They have a storied history. BUT, after all the crap hit the fan a few years back and we all got to see how underhanded they really were I lost all respect for them. Like mentioned above, their fans were much easier to take when they sucked. Now they are disgusting. Gotta have an excuse for everything now.
