I know a USPS supervisor, works locally. $88,000 per year. Constantly complains about being underpaid. "Why don't you leave?" Response, swear to God, "I can't make that much anywhere else with these benefits."

The post office isn't concerned because it didn't lose 2 billion. Those numbers are inflated because the post office adds in a pre-funded retirement amount (forced by congress). Take that away, and the post office makes a profit.
I can count on one hand the number of pieces of physical mail I get in a single year that I actually need.
