Why do TN "fans"'leave games early?

I was just wondering if the fans that leave the game early when up or down by 10
points or so do these same fans when watching a game at home in the same situation turn off the TV and go mow the lawn or go to the mall? I never understood buying a ticket,
paying for parking, etc and leaving before it is over. I imagine a lot of them are there to get their Instagram picture or something. There is some satisfaction knowing these fans miss great comebacks like the SC game a couple years ago and the GA game this year. Anyways - I don't know so please enlighten me.

To answer your question, probably so.

People can and do have other commitments and priorities other than football.

Why do other adults care how other adults spend their money and time?

Unfortunately, I was with a large group yesterday and was out voted to leave after Kamara TD at end. 1st time in last 2 years. I don't understand it either

Makes no sense to me either I understand if there's an emergency or issue with a child but geeze

Same thing happened to me a couple of years ago. I reminded them that I was the one who drove up there and unless they wanted to hitchhike home their butts were going to stay in the seats.

Never brought them again

I could see it like someone said if they have an emergency but I don't think 25% or more of the stadium has emergencies or too many business engagements on a Sat at 4pm. One reason I care is I support the team and want them to do well. I know recruits are there and hope the good ones come here.

If the outcome is not in question after the start of quarter 4, I usually leave. Long walk to parking spot and 3 hour drive home.

But it isn't always fans.

I remember after UT beat Buffalo I bailed early and was walking back to where I parked at near Church Street United Methodist and there was Matt Simms waiting at the crosswalk in a suit with I assume his girlfriend. Dude literally beat the fans out of the stadium that day..

I'd guess to beat the traffic. I left with 7 minutes to go yesterday because I had to get back to Nashville and pick my dog up from his dog daycare before the place closed and he was stuck in a crate for the rest of the night. I left early, parked adjacent to the Fort Sanders hospital and still spent 40 minutes crawling in my car before getting back on I-40.

Probably the same people that think more government is a solution to any problem.

this late in the year its hard to say cause its a long season and yes people may have other things to do or be. Frankly I'm shocked every year by how well we can fill Neyland regardless if were 5-7 or 8-4 etc. just go watch another school out west in week 1 you'll laugh at how many fans are there

Fans leave early at every stadium. Traffic would be the biggest reason.

I have season tickets for TN and always stay until the very end regardless of the score. Of course, I am coming in from TX, so I don't have to drive home after the game or have other commitments locally.

I never leave before the game ends. While it may have a bearing on the time to get back to the car if one rides the buses, it really has no impact on the time to get out of Knoxville traffic.

I guess if one left at half time it might but leaving in or at the start of the 4th quarter probably doesn't make any difference at all.

Don"t have medicine to take, but I do like Blueblood reruns. Also have to work on Sunday, unfortunately.

This is why we live in a free country. If YOU don't like something YOU don't have to do it. If you think people should stay then you stay, don't expect everyone else to think the same and do the same as you. If I buy a ticket I will do what I please and so will the other 100k that do. This being said, I always stay for the whole game, but could care less if others do, whether I understand it or not.

I left the tn Bama game this year with 1:00 to go go after hurts made the last td. I knew there was no way tn could pull it half after the 8:00 mark im the 4th.

Regardless traffic wasn't that bad and th stadium, well It was sold out that day.
