Limited budget is an understatement."When Joan Cronan was head coach of the Basketball team in the 1970's, Tennessee needed an orange away jersey to wear.
With a limited budget, Cronan went to a sporting goods store, and the only orange jersey they had was trimmed in Columbia blue. She must have liked the color ever since, because that color has been adopted as a third to orange and white."
That was from a user in another forum
Limited budget is an understatement.
When Pat Summitt became coach, she actually had to wash the team uniforms herself.
Pat doesn't have to wash uniforms anymore. :good!:
In either 1987 or 1988, the football Vols played a few games where their home orange jerseys were trimmed in baby blue around the numerals. Anybody got a pic or remember this?
