Why do other teams move the ball with ease

Watching other teams play and looking at our offense often seems like it's hard for us to move the ball. Every offensive drive looks like a grind for every inch.

Are you referring to every game we play? Because I'm pretty sure that there were some games last year that our QB had 300 yds passing and 100 yds rushing. So I think you mean only sometimes.

Was a combo of installing only 6-8 plays for App St and a poor performance from OLine. We got whooped in the trenches but it's just one game. I would expect us to be wide open from here on out.

Remember, it's the same offense - same guys - that ranked awfully high statistically on offense in the SEC last year.

This question is valid. I love Tennessee and will always support the team no matter what. But to often our offense is not fluid.

Much of the time our offense looks very mechanical, Dobbs looks robotic at times as does Hurd. It almost looks like technique over natural ability. Technique is awesome but sometimes natural ability is better when we have these great athletes

What technique, exactly?

You mean 2015's #11 defense?? Or the team that is ranked higher than 6 SEC teams??? Or both???

App. Plays Miami in two weeks. I can't wait to see the outcome. I have a lot of respect for App. State although the ranking they earned was against weak opponents. Two weeks and Im pulling for them but will be interesting.

1 game. He was outstanding that day, especially the last 2 1/4 quarters. But it was one game. Also, he threw for less than 150 yards in 6 of our 13 games, including 2 games under 100. Really have no leg to stand on here.

Some of you all act like Appalachian State was a 3 win team last year.

maybe technique is the wrong word, it's more like mechanical movements instead of fluid movements. Almost as if everything is being broken down into 3-4 movements to equal one. It's just very fluid and it's been this since CBJ took the helm, it's just odd looking
