Why do coaches not start the right QB?

I know it’s easy to judge as a fan but thinking about the JG situation vs the others reminds me of.

Kirby missing on Justin Fields
Franks starting over Kyle Trask
Dobbs being on the bench his sophomore year in favor of Worley and Peterman
Jalen Hurts over Tua for the whole season

Just a few examples. Feels like coaches are afraid to go with a new guy and they just accept mediocrity. Maybe it’s just my memory but wouldn’t Steve spurrier bench your ass in a heartbeat in the ole gator days? JP invested so much into JG it’s almost gotten him fired at this point. HB looks pretty good though. Could save his job like Dobbs did Butch.

inertia is a powerful force and benching a returning starter can screw up team chemistry if not done right. Dabo did it at Clemson without causing the team to split into factions but it can be a slippery slope...for our team, regardless of what we fans see, JG was a very popular player and it could have been very disruptive if he was benched at the start of year...but his play during the losing streak probably made it easier for his teammates to be alright with benching him...unfortunate for us because it terms reading the game in live time he is probably the worst of our 4 QBs...

JG is worse than Worley.
Your opinion, mine is different. Both were different scenarios and under no circumstances should Worley had ever been on the field over Dobbs, and I'm a big fan of experience over youth but I never was in that situation. Dobbs legs as a Freshman were more valuable and productive than Worley's arm ever was.

A win Saturday followed by a bowl win would be huge I feel. That would give us a 5-6 record, it would show that the guys never quit playing hard and I think it would help recruit the players we need next year to return. We desperately need something good to happen Saturday, it would at least give us a chance going into next season. Pruitt also desperately needs a big win vs a highly ranked team whether they are deserving or not of the ranking is a different debate.
How our they going to do the 85 player thing?

It’s bc fans are not at practices....The hardest position in college football is the QB position and as a fan we don’t get to see when a player starts to understand/realize their potential.... just look at joe burrow for example..... his junior year his QB rating was worse than JG’s QBs rating his junior year but joe burrow had one of the best senior years ever.... I do think some coaches seem to go with what they know too long(Pruitt) instead of trying someone new that may not have everything all the way down yet.
