An EF2 tornado would more than likely be the reason, and if Riley of Alabama didn't make that shot at the buzzer, there could have been a lot of deaths from that storm.

Yeah, and that tornado was just as a freak of nature. Typically, that's too early for storms like that.

Not really. Tornado season usually is just starting in March.

Late March to early June is usually tornado season. Also, GA is far from being Tornado Alley which makes that storm in Atlanta even more freakish. Alabama and Mississippi though are pretty rough in Spring.

While Atlanta is not in tornado alley, tornadoes are not an uncommon occurance there that time of year. I'm not saying that a tornado in a downtown area is common, but it's not uncommon that something like that can happen.

Agreed to a point, but I don't think that fears of another tornado is a reason to move the tourney. Fortunately, that's not the reason.
